Wouldn’t you like to get a glimpse into your future!
*Hopefully the shortys stay at granny’s & Kel & i get a room? Also: clearly the whole 'fender bosses' thing on the Roger was an afterthought fabricated entirely within the Bianchi marketing department. edit: Sure the actual bosses are in back by the dropouts and at the bottom of the fork legs, but that's apparently where it ends! There isn't any mounting point on the seattube/chainstay-bridge, nor a brake hole on the fork. And I also don't see how the fender stays are supposed to clear a disc brake caliper. Oh wells! I'm still happy with the thing, even with its slightly diminished capability as an uber-commuter. |
what do you mean about the bosses? No good?
edit: Ah. that sucks. |
Smart frame design 4tw!

So after work today I unlocked my POS mountain bike from the fence, where it had been in the same spot for a year and a half! I didn't even need liquid wrench to get the lock off! I'm going to make it into my beater **** kicker bike. I'll probably single speed it eventually, although for now, I'm just going to pump up the tires, change the brake cables, lube the rusty chain and ride it around a bit. It has fender eyelets and mounts for cantis (which it has) or center pull brakes. Now all I need is a super long seatpost!! Any of you singlespeed/fixed mountain bike dudes have any suggestions? (Chris I know you'll be glad to hear I finally got around to this!)

Fastest crate bike in the city!
edit- I mean L'il hauler That frame would probably be lightest crate bike in the city. edit-edit- They could just mould the crate right into the frame! Then they could market it as 25% more aerodynamic than any other crate bike. And call it something witty like P2P. |
I think I would pay money to see someone riding around the city on a P3C with a basket.
48x17 singlespeed = ow. Again, Bianchi, beautiful bike but how did you figure that gear choice was acceptable on what was marketed as a singlespeed cyclocross race bike? :P It actually has a Sugino compact road crank on there though, so I think I might dingle-speed it similarly to Keith's mtb. The cassette body on the hub is wide enough to easily hold a couple of cogs. |
