Did you have somewhere particular in mind? I'm heading out soon.

kergin 03-15-08 09:26 AM

I hope to later, but in no particular order am 1) cleaning/tuning the fixed bike 2) picking up the c-dale from Cycle Therapy and getting it adjusted 3) putting together and finding out whats missing the s/s for my wife. Ideally I'll get out for a while on the c-dale and see how the new setup rides.

Time to go out for a ride!

cavernmech 03-15-08 01:17 PM

Just got back from my leg melting ride. Thought it would be a good idea to head out east to the start of Taylor Creek and work my way back in.......DOH! T.C. was fine....a decent hardpack path that I could follow....but as soon as I got to the Don Mills Rd/Lower Don junction I was screwed. No more plowed path...no more hardpack...just a long hike up the Thorncliffe Park hill in the wet snow. The rest of the trip around town was fantastic tho....almost felt like spring, altho I of course know better.

kergin 03-15-08 02:19 PM

I ended up going and picking up some very middle-eastern groceries from Arz bakery at Lawrence & Pharmacy. I got there via Queen St, Kingston, Main, and O'Connor. Serious Scarborough riding times.

exhibitx 03-15-08 02:58 PM

arz bakery is awesome

i don't miss living in scarborough but it was definitely one of the highlights

Perfect day for riding or walking, worst day to be in a car. Traffic was at a standstill along Bloor west because St.Clair was closed for most of the morning due to a bank robbery PLUS there was the war protest around Queen's Park. I almost felt bad for drivers today :)

duppy.conqueror 03-15-08 03:49 PM

sweet riding weather!! yo K still got that beer in the fridge for you podnah!

many thanx to the lincoln driver who almost made a sham sandwich of me!

32flavours 03-15-08 03:58 PM

Danhalen and I nearly got taken out by a lady backing her car out of a parking lot + talking on her cellphone + not looking behind her. Allstar!

Pretty weather! Whee!

Shamil, that's pretty much the cutest child in the whole world.

Also, I didn't break my hand this time but I knocked out another car on the way home.

What's up with the "my vehicle represents my penis and my inner child - by even touching it you have ***** my soul" routine? And how is that complete ****ing rage black-out always followed by the person turning around and using their car as a battering ram?

I haven't lol'd at DDR since watching a 350lb 5'11" ginger kid go at it in an arcade. Drivers today were extra special in the core - Bloor was a joke of construction and awful, awful traffic. Scarborough was nicer riding territory!

when im better i might have to take you up on this. I've got two sea kayaks, a Capella 167 (or 163) and a quest (i think), available to me through work.

So much thanks to the guys (esp. John) at Cycle Therapy for another awesome job.

What brakes are those? They look great

operator 03-15-08 06:47 PM

They sort of look like the tetkros

From your store too.

I_bRAD 03-15-08 07:02 PM

Have you tried them yet?

pyze-guy 03-15-08 07:03 PM

And some more. Cannondale badboy. Origin8 dirtdrops, canti's, barcons. New drivetrain as well, from 9 to 8 speed cassette, works better with the friction shifters. Will finish the taping after I finalize the bar/brake position.
