Damn it. I lived right by there. I forgot how much I liked biking the lakefront by exhibition.

Why do I live in Montreal again? I could think of 500 reasons when I moved.

Had a nice 'recovery ride' out to the Bluffs this morning... I still can't believe this weather in October. 23 with a 31 humidex! Madness!

Note to self: when doing a ride on a (still) unbroken-in Brooks Swift, the day after a race, use chamois butter.

Keith, you bustin' a skid over the finish line? Nice.

Me, with a really pained expression on my face after riding so hard..

Teddy on the podium (reppin' the mess-bag ).. he got 2nd by 1.8s in the Master1 race. Must have been a nice sprint finish

I am running the correct length now, but how do I determine what it is without taking it out?

You can take your cranks off and measure the spindle, i'm assuming it's square taper. Measure your bb shell width while you're at it. You'll also need to determine if it's english/french/italian/other.

Easiest way is to pull the unit. What kind of bike is it again?

Teddy was joking about the prize bag saying he wanted his water bottle and to go home. There was a Giordana safety orange vest in the bag and he was super stoked as hunting season is upon him up north. He kind of gave the win to Ed.....passing him briefly...giving him the "stare"... and backing off. Good times!

It's a Devinci. I've taken off the cranks before, but never removed teh bb. is that hard to do?

I assume this is for the Garneau?..in which case it is English thread...68 shell. The length is fairly easy to figure without taking it out. 105 triple? Prolly a 116 but as Op said..the sure way is to measure the spindle length after removing the cranks.
edit. Why did I think you had a Garneau? Check ****manos website for the appropriate length for yer crank model if you dont want to remove it first.

Don't mind if I do! Actually it's kind of funny that I'm able to ride a bit now, but I'm at home in Mississauga with no bike to ride other than the stationary in the basement. Oh the irony! Crazier even am going I. Looks like I'll be back in town tomorrow. I know you are all really disappointed. Especially Shamil.

On Saturday I grabbed a Zipcar at the crack of dawn and headed down to the falls to do a ride of mentioned here before from when I was a kid. I was trying it fixed and my buddy picked me up at the other end which was nice after riding for about 30k in torrential downpour with tour buses buzzing you.

It was surprisingly easier than I imagined but the climb back up the escarpment would be quite a challenge. And you should see the looks you get from the local roadies - large Italian and European communities - when I roll by with my deep-v's and deep track drops.

Oh, and check this - I get a voice mail from Will saying that Mike Barry - a.k.a. Jr, T-Mobile - is in town and may pop down on Wednesday. I wouldn't hold my breath but it definitely rules as best voice mail of the month.
