Gettin' out the chaps. Make sure you dont wear/take yer rain gear on Friday and we are good to go. :D You bring the umbrellas...I will bring the Pam.

somnambulant 10-15-07 12:33 PM

Not that I really trust the extended forecast (particularly The Weather Network's), but it ain't looking promising for any serious slop.. stupid global warming. http://www.theweathernetwork.com/weather/caon0696

ps. I remember getting a little interest from my suggestion of a Fall Colour Ride.. not sure if there's still anyone interested..? It'll be too late soon, methinks.

I_bRAD 10-15-07 12:38 PM

I'd probably still come to your gang ride.

Yep, I have the stair climb on Saturday that I should probably "rest" for but pffft... am still definitely interested. :) I have the nipper this weekend, too though.

Just got back from a nice ride with Jeremy which put me past my mileage goal for this year with 2.5 months to go! Guess it's a good year for biking! :D

iherald 10-15-07 12:56 PM

Keith, do you mind sending me those photos of the bolt? thanks!

Hey dave. I tried to take a decent pic of them but my camera is crap for detailed pics and they are so blurry you cant make em out. Tofu was in on Saturday and said he and Malcolm at Biseagal could machine one for you no probs. That might be the best option. Otherwise pics for HED are up to you....I cant do much there.

shapelike 10-15-07 03:07 PM

Remember kids, read the torque specs on those Truvativ Elita cranks and don't forget the Locktite!

zippered 10-15-07 03:39 PM

that picture is brilliant. only because it isn't me.

fall colours ride sounds fun... now that i have some more country milage under my belt. as long as we can take stretch/rest/food stops.

ps. i am quickly becoming addicted to facebook scrabulous. oh dear.

somnambulant 10-15-07 03:50 PM

Well, I *don't* have much country mileage under my belt this year, so I'm definitely into the stretch/rest/food/chat/photography/etc breaks.

Of course not.
Sunday is reserved for " Come out this Sunday for crazy Cyclocross action!...thrills spills and chills as these maniac riders challenge the toughest courses thrown at them!..See the awesome Bike-a-saurus...150lbs of bike crushing power!...ONE DAY ONLY! We'll sell you the whole seat but you'll only need the Edge...edge...edge!"

I_bRAD 10-15-07 04:28 PM

Yeah, that and I work Sundays!

shapelike 10-15-07 05:43 PM

I'm just going to take a wild guess here that people are doing Durham in Whitby and not heading all the way to Collingwood? I'll book Sunday off but if it's a double-header for some of you I'll just be able to make one race.

If it's wet for Durham, I'd like to formally submit a request to rename the race "The Race to Disgrace" ...

Yes, Whitby on Sunday.

As for the Fall/Gang Colours Tour, I'm up for it whenever. Since I'm a 9-to-5'er, I guess a Saturday would work best.

I guess November is too far along for a fall colours tour? I'm not around the next 2 weekends. Seems people want to see the baby. I don't blame them, he's quite the handsome little bugger.

That would guarantee I never have a chance to have a second child.

Danhalen 10-16-07 12:28 AM

I am totally up for a fall colours ride and I think my shoulder finally is too! Yay! Oh wait, my ****ing road bike isn't back from Berlin yet. ****!!!!

We could keep him safe in one of the display cases at the shop - just sayin' ...

DrBenway 10-16-07 08:23 AM

You're going to let a derailleur keep you from fun? How very un-Danpositive of you!

Btw Wes, I won't let it happen to me, I'm there. Saturdays are best for me as well and I have no problem getting repeatedly dropped if I'm alone on my fix. I will catch up during the rest/snack/stretch/backgammon/fiddlesticks breaks.

Looks like it may be warm and rainy tomorrow night... could be fun - and the last of warm rain.
