It is a neat looking machine though! So I guess I can choose any bean instead of the 2-3 "feature" cups with this thing?

Perhaps, yes. But this way you can sample fancypants beans without having to commit to an entire bag.

i like the idea of the brew-to-order coffee machine; i never order drip coffee at a cafe because it's been sitting in a carafe for half an hour getting bitter.

jeremywhitehorn 10-15-07 08:38 AM

i've got to get out for a ride today even if it's raining; if it hasn't stopped in 20mins i'm strapping on my waterproofs and going for it.

Seriously. I half-expect a large portion of the Toronto Fixed posters to secretly be members of www.boutiquecoffeegrindergallery.com or something.

All the cool kids like fixed gears and gourmet coffee.

I_bRAD 10-15-07 08:56 AM

jeremy- check pms.

somnambulant 10-15-07 09:05 AM

hehehe.. jeremy has pms.

I wanna go ride the **** outta my new bike. Might go do an after work ride in the Don Wednesday and/or Thursday.

I_bRAD 10-15-07 09:13 AM

When are you gonna post pictures of the bike anyhow?

somnambulant 10-15-07 09:18 AM

Well, the only pictures I took were in my office and they kinda suck. I'll post a few when I get a chance. I have a bunch of shots from the race yesterday to sort through as well. Mike was right though, my bike is now covered in a fine brown silt. I didn't think it was dry enough yesterday for that, but there it is...

shapelike 10-15-07 10:02 AM

*sobs*

shapelike 10-15-07 10:03 AM

If you'll excuse me, I have to:
- get keys cut
- call the bank in Sarnia
- do the dishes
- sort out the order from OGC
- empty the garbage
- find bib knickers for cheap
- finalize the shops account application w/ Niner
- hang up the laundry mountain

Ahh, day off. So relaxing!

Okay, one last thing: http://cycling.photos.us.com/c1292602.html ... 5th photo from the bottom. I love the bemused expression on his face ... yep, that "puddle" pretty much swallowed your bike whole.

I rode with Tweak in the Don the other night and he did the entire ride in the drops of his new Jake the Snake, guy is hilariously quick.

I like this guy's "my wife is gonna kill me" face: http://cycling.photos.us.com/p41850957.html

Hahaha, that reminds me - Sara and I were hanging out at the start/finish hill (just before it cut left and went up the short/STEEP little bit) ... some dude is dying trying to sprint up the hill and maintain position when his wife/partner yells out, "Remember, you're having fun right now!" Guy just screams in agony at her as he goes by. Pure comedy gold, I tells ya.

It's in frames.. if you're using Firefox just middle-click (or CMD-click on a Mac, methinks) the thumbnail to get the image page to pop up in it's own tab, then paste that url.

edit: I assume you're referring to this one.. whoops! http://cycling.photos.us.com/p41850973.html You can see it in the pic Mike mentioned as well: http://cycling.photos.us.com/p41850976.html
