I think you're getting yourself overly worked up.. it's just a local 'cross race! I think you'll probably do pretty well! Once you get a few races in you'll remember your mental state in the first couple and laugh. :)

It's my nature.

Also, you've been racing all summer. Eat a bag of dicks.

Hahaha.. I know I've been racing all Summer, that's my point exactly. I'm speaking from experience! Although the 24-hour races were probably a pretty good way to re-introduce myself back into it. I did a whole bunch of racing "back in the day", and I remember having crazy nerves before racing. I don't think I care nearly as much how good/bad I do nowadays, which is also probably why I don't push myself as hard as most of the other people huffing/puffing/sweating/wheezing/grunting/mouth-foaming their way around the course. Like I said to you before, if I can't smile, what the **** am I doing there? I'm just lookin' for a good time! :)

shapelike 10-10-07 10:54 AM

Ya ya, I hear what you're sayin'. I was just getting at you actually ride well (fast) and place alright when you race. Captain NoobSux0rs here still has a ways to go in that respect.

Finish a race, and then we'll talk. I'm predicting that you'll do well if you actually finish there, Mr. 28psi. :D

What?...huffing/puffing/wheezing/grunting/mouth-foaming isn't a good time? I think you look sexy with that white crusty spittle around yer mouth. Did I mention that you have a purty mouth?

Please, nobody go there.

TRaffic Jammer 10-10-07 11:28 AM

Oh oh..... Keith's gettin' all Deliverance on us.

Flimflam 10-10-07 11:39 AM

Run away! Run away!

Debating whether a trip home and pie in transit both east and back west to the Ex. is doable for the sprints tonight... I have leftovers from my baking adventures this past weekend. Hmmmm...

PS. Bag of dicks - lollercoaster :D

He's a big boy too, he'll be hard to stop when he's got a head full of moonshine.
A thread of precipitation is snaking towards us, though the 'mass' behind it seems to be losing steam.

To continue the current topic: Andrew, you'd make one foxy weathergirl. ROWR!

TRaffic Jammer 10-10-07 01:30 PM

Today's completely unscientific weather brought to you by the letter B for BIKE, and the number 2, for 2 wheels.

More rain around Hamilton...seems there is more than there was a couple hours ago and more spread out.
Could get dicey. Easterners..is there a meet later or off to the Gates for 9?

Drag... not just for Racin'. ;)

I_bRAD 10-10-07 01:39 PM

Combine that with the satellite and it's looking grim :(

The names Tucker McElroy...lead singer, drivin' the Winnebago.

chickenwire?

somnambulant 10-10-07 02:08 PM

cavernmech: Is your "current age" for determining your race category (e.g. Master vs. Senior) taken like the UCI U23 category? In that case I think they group you based on your age at the start of the year, rather than your age on the date of the race.

I was actually thinking I'd be moved up to Master next year (or the year after, depending on the answer to the above question), but it looks like the OCA changed the age from 30 to 35.

ps. Looks like Annie Sprinkles is outside! Damn your predictions, TrafficJammer!

O.C.A. categories are based on your age as of Dec 31. With the new change to ability based they may have changed it to 35. I am not really sure as it has no bearing on me.
* OWWWW...My rheumatism's is actin' up again!*

TRaffic Jammer 10-10-07 02:46 PM

ok I'll be watchin the skies....still not sure as to the venture West. But if MB shows I'll be kickin' myself.

~Stuart~ 10-10-07 02:55 PM

what time does the bike show open? (i need a new front wheel, and im working at 11)

cavernmech 10-10-07 02:58 PM

O.k. so I am pissed. The guy at Chaps R Us assured me if I made the appropriate sacrifice, and did the anti rain dance in my sheepskin chaps, that rain would not happen. Lies! Lies I tells ya. I am very disappointed in Cleetus the slack jawed chaps salesman.

MattRennick 10-10-07 03:09 PM

It's only 5... Maybe things will be looking up before 9? Ok, probably not... but whatever. I'm hopeful!
