Way to go Wes!!! And all y'all for puttin' the hurt on.

Hrm. I wonder how Nadir feels about those pics being posted... seeing as the bikes are supposed to be "revealed" at the show on the 17th. But since we're on the topic, I was in on Saturday as the Futura bike came back from the photog - oh man they're sweet pics - and got to gently caress their loveliness. It's mind boggling to be holding a frame only whilst being told it's insured for more than most houses. And that "Netti" said this or that about them... as in "Netti" Colnago! I don't go to strip clubs, I go to bike shops.

Ps. - Anyone go to the race yesterday afternoon? The city race.

Keith, best I could come up with: http://picasaweb.google.com/r.meloff...82340998090658. Maybe the guy(s) at http://cycling.photos.us.com will have shots of you in costume posted in a few days.

I just quickly updated the Senior3/4 standings for our cx series and I'm in 4th overall and shapelike's in 7th. Go team independent! :P

They keep listing Mike as an independent but he rides for Caledon Hills club no?

shapelike 10-29-07 12:49 PM

Other way around, they started w/ the Caledon Hills thing but I had them change it. Apparently there's a guy out there who races w/ the same name as me (same middle initial even).

Brad, that photo looks like you're about to sexually assault someone in ways I never knew possible.

I_bRAD 10-29-07 02:06 PM

In reality, I think I was about to fall over. Which I did later on. Right downtown. Right in front of a cop. And I took out tam too :o

jeremywhitehorn 10-29-07 07:57 PM

that's my kind of race.

shapelike 10-29-07 08:24 PM

Oh dear:

http://photos.rabien.com/photos/208541925-L.jpg

... of course, everything breaks, but that's still unsettling.

Edit:

It was right after a set of barriers. The fork gave out as he jumped back onto his bike, it looked painful. Face first into the ground. Other rides said the heard it crack earlier in the lap, but nobody is really sure.
Okay cycle pathologists, any idea what killed the fork?

I have seen a lot of busted forks over the years but I have never seen one break like that. Usually they break in the same spot on both legs. I would guess that this person had a head on with something at some point that cracked the one leg. Fatigue then finished the job. Check those carbon forks regularly folks.

2wheelsgood 10-30-07 07:31 AM

I are racing. Costume ready. seems like a good day for new shoes and pedals to break in. I rode past toby yesterday and he just yells "IT'S TOMORRROOOWWW, GOOOOOOOO!!" everyone needs a toby.
