I mixed & matched some parts to make my old Davinci road worthy & bam I now have a winter bike only 1 year late as I did not have one last year, magic gear & everything (44–21) I’ll snap a photo later.

Dan and I back from MTL. Roadtrip most triumphant! By the start time, we had only figured out half the locations, ended up following a group from Ottawa (bad luck), then we hitched on with two rad couriers from MTL who had sobered up enough to want to complete la course. Chuck and Francois enabled us to get the deets and complete the course (3 hrs). The hills were nutty. Lecole Polytechnique, Molson's tomb, the old port, Westmount, Bell Centre, Massive climbs that I and Dan (especially) relished. We were kinda peeved that the Ottawa group got best out of town team, considering they didn't complete the ride... but whateves I guess we didn't either (by time)... Keith, we didn't *really* cheat.. does that mean we weren't trying? Best tour of Montreal a boy could as for.

Sounds like a fun course. I love eating my way across MTL when I go there. I'm thinkin' MAYBE the Coupe des Glaces this winter.

Mike .. in his counter culture desires.... understandably gets a little hung up on PC-ness and all things correct, workin' in the public eye like that, it's frustrating. Here would seem to be his little piece of community where his FREEEAK flag can wave in wind, proudly in ass chaps. Thanks for the warnings,, linkie unclicked..simple really.

Good times in Montreal! Hurray for real hills! Mark pretty much covered it. Nice pics buddy! We got DFL! With pride! That's what happens when you are from out of town, accidently follow people who are also from out of town (and are kind of tools), stop and hang out with people at every checkpoint, get lost a bunch of times, stop for pizza along the way etc. We had a blast. As Mark said though, it was ass backwards that the Ottawa crowd got "best out of town team". The only reason they 'finished' before us was because they DIDN'T finish! (And the only reason we finished was thanks to Chuck and Francois!) They got recognition from the organizer for being from out of town and we didn't. Most heinous! But we had a blast and that's all I wanted to do.

90km's. Any bike. Anything goes race ie: weird addresses, bike lock-ups, stair run-ups, odd cargo etc. A bag, lock and Perly's are pretty much required. The fastest person out won't win...the smartest fast person will. Prize will be split dependent on how many women come out based on percentage ie: 100 racers total...10 women...Womens prize is 10%.

Has someone got a flyer to post? I'd be satisfied with a when, where and how much.

a health report on CBC claims that cars and trucks are killing 400 people a year in toronto (ie. premature death due to pollution, etc). i wonder how many more you could pin on cars if you were to add in factors such as inactivity / obesity etc?

I have stuff I got from wes, but with giggos of booty, the DL and UL times would be insane....you;d really have to plan ahead. Unless we could stream from said server... that would be slicker than snot. Who's got the wherewithall and the bandwidth for that kinda action though? That's a tall order.
