Wes I noticed you had a PB superflash on the rear last time you were in - is the light bright? Superbright? Supergood?

It is a good one: when I put mine on, I had some guy in a pick-up tell me it was bright, so I asked him if he was f-ing with me, but he said no. Later, I had some people on the sidewalk give me a similar comment. Seems to have lost brightness over the past 2.5 months, so it might need new batteries.

I've really been enjoying my current setup (front light on the shoulder strap of my backpack ... basically where my clavical is, rear light on the light loop in the back) but it seems I'm not visible from the sides at times. I've started wrapping a reflective band around each arm at the elbow but <infinite dork>does anyone know any velcro bands that also light up?</infinite dork> I really like not having to worry about my stuff getting ripped off when I'm not on the bike, but I don't want some assride side-swiping me either.

PS. Ho-ly **** was last night's ride home intense. Between the wind and the power outtage and the cold I was REALLY glad to just make it home in one piece. Riding down Queen street with only my front light to light the way was surreal. Oh, bonus points to the idiot peds who thought they'd casually saunter across the street - in the middle of a complete black-out ... while wearing black. Nice, dude(s).

Both my front and back lights unclip from thier brackets on the frame, I just throw them in my bag whenever I lock up and at home. Too cold to leave on the bike, kills the batteries.

I rode with Charlie one night on the spit and his light was too bright, kept blinding me. On the rode in the rain it was extremely bright as well.

Latest addition to the tool collection: https://www.sheldonbrown.com/harris/s...ock/index.html

Hopefully, it'll come in handy during future ss cx/xc adventures.

I'm heading downtown later today, anywhere I can drop it for you? Most likely hitting Manic Coffee, someone there you know?

We had one collecting dust on a shelf. I think QBP distributes them (don't quote me on that, though). Most places market them toward touring cyclists but if the tool works well it should come in handy for at-the-trailhead ss gearing changes too. We shall see ...

Oh, and apparently there's a Campagnolo one, too.

Cool- touring is what I had in mine. Cassette removal tools are cheap and simple... but big and heavy!
