You might do better to sell off the frameset separately and buy the Capo as a frame-set, using the leftover bits on the Capo. CL is pretty dead in the winter, so you may not get as much as you would in the spring/summer. I've just lately realized that I have too many bikes and will sell off but I am not in a hurry so I am waiting for the spring-time.

Poking around I found this as well: https://www.podshow.com/showguide/?ke..._type=pdn_show
ps. if you liked the youtube footage, definitely go download the podcast video. It's significantly longer, and obviously better quality.

I saw Wired to Win at the Science Center last year ... pretty amazing footage, especially some of the helicopter shots. They'd be tracking guys from behind on some of the summits and then the helicopter would just go flying off the other side (cue stomach lurch and vertigo). Definitely go check it out if the opportunity presents itself.
The time trial opening from Pro is still my favourite though ... great camera angle, sound, etc. Definite got the heart pumping.

All I thought of when seeing "capo" is:

Roads look a LOT clearererererer than they did before, so that's all good times. I mispent my evening in debauchery and stupidity, so I'll be paying for that.
However, I did learn that Jamie Kennedys' place on Church is decently priced and has superb food.

My vote goes to the Xbox 360. I bought one on Boxing Day last year and I've been really happy with it. The hardware's good, graphics/sound are very impressive and I *think* the current Xboxes are shipping with HDMI outputs. Online content/game play is the best out of the big three systems ... I really like how easy it is to join in games with friends and all the multiplayer options out there for most games. The games themselves have impressed me a lot.
I don't know what kind of games you like, but take a look at Gears of War, Bioshock and Halo 3. Those are three of my favourites. Also check out EA Skate, Portals (part of The Orange Box) and ... oh, let's go with Mass Effect (Honourable Mention: Viva Pinata). It's not out yet (I don't think so, at least) but I'm also really looking forward to Army of Two.
Oh, as of the latest firmware update you can now stream .avi files off a computer and control them via the Xbox. For me that means when I download shows/movies Sara and I can watch them in our living room on the TV vs. having to watch them playing off one of our computers in the bedroom. Bigger screen + comfy couch FTW!

I'd get a Wii as it looks like a lot of fun and I like the Zelda and Mario franchises. I too have never had a console since my ol' NES (yet another purchase made with money from my paper route!) so I guess I am a Nintendo fan-boy. I borrowed my nephew's Gamecube and it is a lot of fun.

I second mike's xbox 360 vote. I've had mine since the console launched and I'm still amazed at how much I enjoy the thing. The wii seemed really cool to me at first, but now it just seems sort of lame and gimmicky. *Shrug* Zelda and Mario look great, but two games aren't really enough to make me take the plunge yet.
The other great thing about the 360 is Xbox Live Arcade. Basically you can download all sorts of small puzzle games, re-released classic arcade games (TMNT!) and that sort of thing for like $5-10. You can also download game demos, videos, tv shows, etc direct from XBL. Not to mention the video streaming stuff mike mentioned.

I don't play any games, but my thoughts have always been that the Ninendo stuff was more cartoony, but often more 'fun'. But, that said, the most popular games for people over 15 seem to be Halo and Guitar Hero (a 40 minute discussion on the implications of kids hearing Sabbath and Zepplin through that gamewas had at my christmas lunch yesterday) which are on the 360.
That said, the Wii's controller idea seems really cool. It would be awesome if they had a cycling game and you could attach the controller to the crank.

i like the idea of the xbox in terms of game selection and usability but it seems a lot more pricey than the others. what's the best source for these things? one of those big-box electronics stores or what?

i've no idea why people brave the stupid lineups at mec when they can go across the street to europe bound for competitively priced stuff. sales items aside, they've got pretty much the same stuff (rebranded) and people lining up at mec are buying generic stock-stuffer crap anyways.. i like poking around in europe bound's bike section.. never know what you might unearth..

how the heck did you get a ps3 for a hundred bucks??!!
man, wii sports alone can tie you over for a month. bowling and the homerun hitting contest is strangely satisfying. absolutely pick up a wii if you can find one. consoles are great but cod4 is where it's at!
