Notice the quotation marks. It's nowhere near a conventional 52 ... more like a 56.5.

There is no rule other than try to keep your position the same (as your road bike, which you don't have) but err on the side of slightly more upright (so your back doesn't explode two laps in). It's not a "I'm on my way out the door to go to work" conversation and unfortunately I'm on my way out the door to go to work.

as someone who grew up not celebrating xmas, i can't express how glad i am that it's over with (for another year). i'm sure i seem like the biggest scrooge from november 1st til now, but geez it's so in-your-face. however, with a week of paid vacation this year, i guess i shouldn't complain too much. despite all that, i did acquire an ity-bity sewing machine, which i hope to be able to put to all kinds of crafty good use. especially since it's a cold, rainy day.

um...

/rant

ps. don't smoke mike!

Is the frame size you are looking for between 52 and 55 or do you think you can go higher? I ask because there was a Wazoo CX bike listed on Canadian Cyclist classifieds for $650 and it was full Ultegra 9-speed but it was a 57, if memory serves. I thought it was a pretty good deal, the Wazoo is Reynolds 853 and Ultegra is nice, the CC classifieds are down right now but it was still listed as of last week.

waaaay huge... I always seems to end up with 55's and they are generally too long in the top. I always seems to be stretched out. If I'm going to get a new ride, Gorsh Darnit it's gonna fit!!!! I'm fairly sure I'm a decent fit to a 54, but wondering if due to the nature of Cross does one want a smaller frame to be able to toss it around a bit under you? I'm thinking tabletop airs off the berms at the golf course..jk'n

Just planning ahead as to want I should be searching for, and in what general sizing range.

HEY... who had the silkscreening gear?

Shot in the dark: I'm sitting here doing random Google searches on financial assistance post-surgery (basically, I'm looking to see if I can get any money from the government to help cover rent/expenses once the hospital sends me home but I'm still not able to go back to work). Anyone have any ideas on where to search or who to call up? So far I've just hit dead ends.

They are doing a big race evening on the 19th which will have lots o racing including some Madisons. I would really like to get down there that day.
Oh yeah it would be awesome to see some racing. Madison racing on that track?? Wow that would be insane. I would love to see that. I might have a birthday party that night that I can't miss though... I'll look into that...

I just watched American Gangster ... which is actually quite good. Denzel has so much charisma you get drawn in even though he's a *******, Russell Crowe looks so horrible it's funny and for once tolerable ... and if I'm not mistaken, isn't that the RZA as one of the cops?

hey shop guys: does Bell have any tpye of helmet replacement policy like Giro does? I took a tumble last saturday night and hit my head on the ground, didn't think to check the helmet. when i get to work, one of the guys points out a large crack in the back of my helmet, right through the foam. it's actually just one of the "wings" on the back of a bell sweep. should i replace the helmet or what? (the helmet i just bought in october, ugh!).

I'd like the record my daily commute from College/University down to Queen ... the rest is pretty boring but that km or so is generally entertaining. What do you plan on using it for mostly (commutes, trails, races, etc.)?
