those are some truly awesome pedals. something to keep in mind: Soma is making a what seems to be a very good copy of these now and selling them for much less.

exhibitx 02-14-08 07:00 AM

yeah but the soma's (based on the rx-1 which you can get from that guy for $85) are still $70

plus mks doesn't have a tribal tattoo for a logo

MattRennick 02-14-08 08:09 AM

you're a tribal tattoo

Its a 111 or 115 for Veloce Triple. The 102 is only for Chorus and Record.

sr20det 02-14-08 09:41 AM

thanks for the help !

You bought that groupset off PBK sr20? Or are you piecing it?

sr20det 02-14-08 10:27 AM

piecing it. :)

currently missing: BB, HS, bars & stem.
I have no idea what bars to get.

oh right, I have a chorus crank so I guess I'll go with the 102mm as cavern suggested.

Anyone know where to get button-cell batteries in town? The Source? I tried Active Surplus but they don't have the one I need (L1142 for a Schwinn bike computer) - easily obtainable online, but for a battery that's a little overkill...

Also, how are the roads north of here typically after the snow and crap? I'm planning to ride to Sutton on Saturday.

The major arterials are fine. The smaller feeder roads may still be junked up, but they are generally very rideable.

Standard AL drop bars

I'm thinking about updating my mountain bike a bit, well I need new shifters and ideally a new rear derailer, any ideas on where I can get some cheap? I don't need anything great as I rarely ride my mountain bike, but it would be nice to have a bike that shifts really nice.

These ones from the source will likely work http://tinyurl.com/2v7ssr

XTR? That's a good price! But, too much bling for my trusty stead. I'm thinking LX

P.S. I miss you guys! :( I haven't seen many of you IRL in quite some time.

I'm probably be up for this. I just have to finalize my Saturday plans which are sketchy as yet.

I'm in. Playing Hockey at 10 in Parkdale though. The Victoria Humiliation is going down!

Ritchey Biomax FTW. I think they have 'em at Cycle Therapy if you're in the city.

pyze-guy 02-14-08 12:27 PM

Are campy cranks compatable with any b/b?

sr20det 02-14-08 12:27 PM

thanks! Reading week starts tomorrow so I'll be back for a week.
I have no preferences for bars so I'll probably try those :)

I'm lead to believe campy has their own spindle taper which is different from Shimano's or whatever else there is.

5 bucks!? it's half that price online! :p

Seriously though, thanks a lot - I had *just* loaded their site when I re-read the posts. Also looking for cheapy walkie-talkies for tours/day rides. I always got scared/excited going into Radioshack/The Source looking at all of the electronic componentry... being able to search a website is way easier for actually finding stuff :D

I think I'm catering this Sat. If not I'll be at the races, watching and cheering but not riding.

If I'm in town, me too. Won't be riding in the races, but want to go cheer/watch.

You play for the Parkdale Flames? I was lucky enough to be near McCormick arena to change a flat I had in that storm on Tuesday night, apparently home of said Flames. Would love to play, but I can barely skate :p
