Heh - something wasn't right about yesterday anyway, I never touched a drop :( heh. I did my drinking Saturday though.

Have fun Friday, I forgot it's the holiday and I have my wee one (though I'd love for her to see the race too, something tells me that's probably best in a few years time ;)).

i remember reading about that rat fiasco when it happened; man you have super careful running a restaurant to avoid rodents and insects and such but if you have rats out in the open like that you have a serious problem!

jeremywhitehorn 03-18-08 04:46 PM

man i love this front rack set up. i wonder how the guy pulled it off. is that copper piping?

i used to live right around the corner from that place,
there were always HUGE rats running through the alley behind it (and on huron street too)
those buildings are so old that it wouldnt be hard for them to go from basement to basement once inside.

Hey,
I know it's a long shot, but does anybody have some busted MKS pedals for parts? I stripped the lock nut on my GR-9. It's an odd ball size: M7 (I think), 10mm hex head, some coarse thread pitch and quite thin.
I called some shops but they keep forgetting my request...

Pretty cool project. drop it in vinegar for a day and bling bling. Jeremy, you are my utility bike hero. Someday I will get my act together and create a ride suitable for hockey equipment.

Evidently purchasing that Quickbeam set him back enough that he didn't want a milk crate for this Nitto front rack.

It'd be easy enough to do, though.

And LEAVE THE DUMPLING HOUSE ALONE!!! The rats is old news and they've been re-approved by DineSafe. Really....

if you can show me how to make a rack like that i'd be all ears.

i'm sure the dumpling house has it's act together but i don't think i'll be eating there. if you saw the boogeyman in the park would you go back?

operator 03-18-08 07:39 PM

Where's that simpsons boogeyman clip when you need it.

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away, we had dinner in downtown chinatown. Our fried rice came with two cooked cockroaches in it. How's that for boogeyman.

That should be pretty straightforward. You could even just use plumber's epoxy instead of soldering it if you'd prefer. Rolling the ends might be a little trickier without folding them - a jig of some kind might be necessary. I'll keep you posted.

jeremywhitehorn 03-18-08 09:33 PM

yes please.

I_bRAD 03-18-08 09:41 PM

You're a day late for jigs

jeremywhitehorn 03-18-08 10:09 PM

heh?

cavit8 03-18-08 10:14 PM

Har!

jeremywhitehorn 03-18-08 10:15 PM

i guess that was an irish joke...
