Toronto Repair Question: Replacing Star Nut in Steerer Tube -- Any suggestions on which LBS would handle this? The upper portion on the star nut in the steerer tube of my Bianchi, has...separated itself from the lower portion, and done some fair damage to the inner wall of the tube on its way out. Thoughts?

The biggest question really was if their computrainer supports rear wheel with solid axles. If so, i'm all in.

Star nuts aren't really meant to be removed. if there is enuf room for a new one just leave the old one in there and install a new one.

Simple. I love it. The top portion brought the threaded post out with it, so just the bottom washer portion remains. Cheers.

I'm definitely going to come by for a Computrainer session sometime soon (on a geared bike). I see that there's a full schedule on the website now. I won't be able to make a weekend session for the next couple of weeks, but I might try and do one of the weeknight rides rather than one of my regular at-home trainer rides.

Yeah she said come any time... So all we need to do is coordinate. This past sat morn would have been good considering the weather.

terrible road conditions right now, all the roads are pure black ice

i had 4 or 5 close calls then finally ate **** hard on bayview, walked the rest of the way and had 4 or 5 close calls just walking

tore my favorite jacket in the process

i'm sure it'll clear up pretty quick as the tempeture warms up

Although I am not TJ, I clicked on the link . Does anyone know what the shipping would be to Canada?

Similarly, never having bought just a frame, what else would I need to buy?

Do you need a new one, Erin? I've got a couple 1 1/8" star nuts at home if you need...

...and what's that for Wes? The geometry is insane on the Fetish...seemingly beyond the norm for race ready frames. I'm all be for being upfront on a bike but....eek?

Geometry is wack. Well over 4 pounds for an alu frame is a tad high. It has an integrated headset. My experiences with them as a company have sucked ***** in the past. The red is hideous. $499.99 regular price? rip-off. I guess you could do worse for $199.99..that is the best thing I have to say about that frame.

i don't mind the 73 degree angles in my size but 75 for smaller sizes? it'd be like riding half a chair with wheels.

What a Canadian legend! I have had 'angel eyes' in my head since last night.

TJ where did you get your AXIO laptop case? Had them here: https://www.academicsuperstore.com/ma...gory_id=264528 for cheap, but can't seem to find them now. I need some serious protection for it. I have been rolling the dice with the neoprene.
