Yep I need about 1gb and yes and 1/8" is fine. I'm hacking a wireless storage router to try to make a wireless music server a la squeezebox.

That is one awesome tip. Thanks!

Yesterday I started at Vic Park and alternated up and down until I got there. Wish I had of started there though 'cause by that point I only had the energy left to do it twice and then ride back to Parkdale. (also East-West ending at Kingston road is a bad idea at 5:30PM 'cause of the left hand turns through traffic) I'll definitely be hitting that one up again. The climb on Silver Birch is pretty cool too.

Ironically, ddr is more expensive than 240pin ddr2. By almost half now. Grab them while you still can!

Let's sound off for those able to attend a "Take the spring chill off" Scotch gathering at me casa Thursday April 26th in the evening. We can also have it next week if schedules do not suit.

This is a "single malt" gathering.

Sure if it's a single. We can do some blind testing between the two.

Can you mountain-biking guys check out this thread and tell me what you think? There are some pictures near the end, thanks.

Sounds great although the ride home could be a bit sketchy.

It looks alright but $400 might be a bit on the high side. It looks in pretty good shape but I would want to replace the cogs and chain before I did any serious off-roading on it. Taking that into consideration I would low ball the guy with a $300 offer.....counter with $325...take the $75 you saved and put a new cassette and chain on it.

Great input, thanks. I thought 400$CDN was a pretty good price but that is a couple of people now who have said it is too high, once again, BF saves me some money (potentially). I wouldn't be doing too much off-roading but I think it would make a great winter commuter.

Brother of a guy I mountain bike with just picked up a rockhopper at the silent sports swap for 250. Not sure about discs, but it did have lots of XT stuff and raceface cranks. It did need new rings though so probably a bit more used.

Thanks, it is good to be able to compare similar bike purchases, that sounds like a damn good deal to me. I like the idea of disc brakes for the heavy snow and muck that December to March brings, that was what interested me in the bike. I appreciate the information.

Good thing you'll just have a short walk

Anyone who's interested in coming for Thursday, please PM me. I'd rather not wide band my address etc.

Operator, yes, canadcomputers lists their RAM, but they've none in stock. I'll likely just end up ordering from tigerdirect.

does anyone here have any non-bikeforums methods of contacting Darkmother? I guess I could just do the donut, but I have a feeling I wouldn't be capable of chatting once they dropped the hammer unless he stuck back with the slowpokes. I can't even remember his last name.. McSomething? McDreamy? I could totally be making up the McName though.

ps. ah ha! I found him in the York staff directory. me = crafty.
