I saw someone with a ridiculous amount of slack in their chain a few weeks ago actually. I wonder if it's the same guy..?

Duuuude it was the 70's ... there was no math then.

One of the Sales Ladies here at work apparently saw two Robins in her back yard this weekend... a good sign indeed

Unless one of the more experienced wheel guys or gals on here has a reason why not then I'd say yes, please! I did a little looking online and the general consensus seems to be that they are about the same - although either company will probably tell you otherwise.

What shop do you work at? Proximity is somewhat important here.

If you don't have a rim how do you know you need 280's?

Can you buy spoke "blanks" or do you just buy the longest ones available?

I’m getting the impression that you’re working at a shop?

* I remember Polly had a spoke cutting thing.

When you get a little seniority you won't have to work near it.

Haha, yeah... I've at least got all the components to build one wheel which is good enough for the workshop I'm taking on Wednesday but I'll need to get that other wheel built in the next two weeks as well...

Here's why I'm a total idiot: I bought a rim off craigslist a couple of months ago to build with - the guy was selling it because he bought it thinking he needed a 36 but really needed a 32. No problem, right? I've got a 36h hub at home, right? Wrong... So now I've got this 36h rim I've got to get rid of and I've got to grab a 32.

What's worse is not only that I bought it from a guy who did the same thing but I've done it before, as you'll well remember, Keith.

God, some days I just wish that my brain worked the way it once did - I think I get dumber as the days go by.

Flimflam - yep, I figured it was you and for a second I forgot it was St. Patties and I was like "uhhhhh, why's he wearing that hat?!?!?!" Then I remembered and all in the universe was as it should be.

any of you itunes users have any insight as to why i can't read some of the text in the set up page for my ipod? specifically the text cuts off and there is no scroll bar on the bottom to read it...

edit: never mind, i figured it out!
