and speaking of the wipe-out factor: the first time i wore my summer shoes this year i went out for sushi and was so excited/distracted i came very close to wiping out in the restaurant and everyone stared

I was at the track last weekend and needed to rush to the repair stand in between drills to adjust my rear wheel (wearing look cleats). I ran over there steadying myself on the bike, and slid about 15 feet in style to the repair stand. On the way back I did the same thing but everyone looked at me with their mouths agape and told me how easy it is to slip and fall in them. Thanks professors!
Look cleats may not be good for a fist fight, but they are good for a snap kick to the face!

As long as you aren't wearin' one on the foot you balance on.

FWIW, I've used both Looks and Zeros on my road bike (usually longer rides, very little in/out except for stop lights, very little walking) and greatly prefer the Zeros. The non-centering float does take a while to get used to, especially in sprints or climbing out of the saddle. Two-sided, easy to clip in, easy to clip out. Maintenance is a breeze.

But the ability to reduce that would be nice, not to mention the other advantages over the Crank Bros + Sidi Dominators (lower stack height/etc).

oh yeah... yesterday when I was walking to the market to get lunch I saw some dude with a fixed gear in berczy (sp?) park just walking around and doing backflips and crazy floor gymnastics. On the way back I saw a dude on a sweet ass BMC track bike. It was super sweet. That is all.

best hiphop lyrics ever:
Don't make me bite ya face (come on)
'Cuz it ain't like I like the taste
It's more of a psychological thing
My heart pace'll never change
But your cabbage'll get rearranged
Don't make me bite ya face (come on)
'Cuz it ain't like I like the taste
It's more of a psychological thing
My heart pace'll never change
But your cabbage'll get rearranged
