I went for a ride and swung by around 8:20, grabbed a coffee saw no one and continued on my ride. Still on for the big blow up on Monday morning? I don't have to work so I'm game.

How did you find that picture??? I was having a bad hair day!!!!! LOLZ. ugh.

I never got to Trinity Bellwoods. In fairness there wasn't much response on here. I rolled by though, I didn't see anyone. I went to three different parties. Two were bike courier parties. One of those parties was awesome. The other was kind of um sketchy.

In other news I met this Italian guy today who said that the "G" in Guerciotti is soft, almost silent. He also told me that "Ciocc" is pronounced "Kee-oke". Who knew? ROCK AND ROLL

An Italian friend of mine swears it is "Chee-oak" and Augustino the Bike Guy (I think iBrad knows him, he is the old Italian guy who owns a bike/junk shop here in Parkdale) pronounces it "Choke"; I guess a lot of it depends on the dialect. Augustino has a nice 62cm one for sale if any giants here need their Ciocc fix.

I've been meaning to get out to Bicycle Specialities to get an idea on how much it would cost to paint my Razesa, they must have quite the showroom. I heard they still do chroming, does anyone know if this is true?

I'm not sure about the chroming but they do nice paintjobs but they aren't cheap. I've heard that Mayfair Metals is good for chroming. They are right at Carlaw and Eastern. I have the phone number if you want it just pm me. Bike Specialities quoted me $400ish to paint my Lejeune. I decided I'd settle for a $70 powdercoat. If you're willing to fork out the dough I'm sure it would look awesome though.

That sounds like a nice day! Ryan and I went out there. You gotta check it out before Mike retires. They have so much cool stuff there!

Just curious did you leave that bike as received or did you end up changing the bar end shifters to brifters?

Also

My little guy threw his chain today i took a look & the BB cup had loosened up and came completely off.I fixed it up & he’s now rolling but, crappy tire kids bikes FTL.

Wifes dad took us to Medieval Times tonight. Bizarre. Cabaret for meat eaters. Unfortunatly while the better half was clapping her wedding band shattered and we spent the next 30 minutes searching for 5 diamonds. Found 3 and the pieces of the ring. Crappo.

I didn't like the bar-end shifters so I popped some old 105 downtube shifters on there, it is fine but I am now used to STI shifters from my Ciocc and Roubaix so I don't shift too often with the Razesa.

400$ is pretty steep for a paint job, I guess I will maybe give it a rattle-can job and see how it goes. I painted my old Miele with spray paint and I did a half-assed job and it still lasted for a couple of years. Powder-coating is nice but the embossing details on the seat stays on my Ciocc were filled in as powder-coating is thicker than paint. The Razesa has a lot of embossed details which I would hate to see marred.

My brother (Kaibot on the forums) got his Benotto painted at Bicycle Specialties a while back, they also made some nice new decals for it too, the paint is a bit thin though.

here are some pics.
