IIRC, weren't they cheaper last year. I recall Duke's having the Fixies for $700 something.

What do you think of them cavernmech?

haha I was riding back east to the shop on Harbord and I passed you at Bathurst this afternoon and screamed "WESLEY!!!" at the top of my lungs and proceeded to cough blood the rest of the ride.

Sorry for the troll, but does anyone know if any shops in the city carry thorn resistant tubes (700c)?

You don't want those.

wrecked my headset :(

*stupid lack of caring when fixing the POS*

^with conti ultra races, its pretty much the only way for me to get a tyre on without popping a tube. Considering i popped two kenda tubes trying to get them on i think its somewhat of a good investment.

Alive 2007 is awesome! Alive 1997 was great, too.

Thos tires are a problem for everyone. That's why they're so cheap. Pickup some good tires when it's time to change them out.

I wanna see him play live so badly. :D

And finally, a great video of him doing a mashup 'howto', in bed, with a girl asleep next to him.. high-larious: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KykbPtRb0K4

At first look I thought this was Sirrobin.

It will be soon, stuffed full of PIE!! Haha.

If anyone is interested I have a fantastic recipe for molton chocolate cakes. I know it's so 1990's but they are awesome. Stole the reicipe from this 85 year old chocolatier I catered for on Passover. I count it as a tip. She was mean. I mean really, really mean. Awesome recipies though. Skor bar cookies too.

shapelike 04-23-08 07:49 AM

Pie-related, my dad used to make a BADASS rhubarb crumble (and also used to eat raw rhubarb and horse radish out of the garden). The rhubarb crumble was, as I said "the jam" ... raw rhubarb/horse radish left me with more of a "Hey, I'll try that too - *WRETCH*" result.

Since we were talking about how hilarious it would be if all the artists represented in a single Girl Talk track made an appearance in a Girl Talk video, check out the wikipedia page for the album I was playing: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Night_Ripper. There's a full queue sheet for all the songs featured in each track. Madness!

"Staff appreciation lunch" at the Faculty Club. Suh-weet.

somnambulant 04-23-08 09:00 AM

Once again, I'm so glad I 'rediscovered' podcasts. Episode 93 of the KEXP "Music That Matters" podcast is grrreat... I need to get some Ghislain Poirier records (http://www.myspace.com/ghislainpoirier). I always thought he was some indie rocker dude, but I was so wrong. http://kexp.org/podcasting/podcasting.asp

Bikes.

Anyone have a large vintage (not craigslist 1990's "vintage") cruiser they want to get rid of? I need to take the weight of my back once in a while and throw it in a large basket. Any sweet leads?

See yall this eve.

Also I would kill for some home made pie.
