It's late now, which doesn't bode well for me getting up to Finch for 8:40... I'll see, though - I'll set my alarm at least
Great news Pyze just let me know where/when for the hubs. And yeah I'm planning to grab pads tomorrow.
Wheel building sounds kickass, I was just thinking I need to learn about wheels some more - thanks for the info.
Ride back from Whitby was incredibly good fun while the wind was at my back - it kinda turned once I got more into Scarborough a bit, but was a good run - I made the trip back to my buddies place near Main/Danforth in 1:40 and packed in a whole load of that vitamin D, too. Yay!

I LOVE THOSE BIKE ELECTRIC PIECES OF ****
i race them (gives me something to strive for) and have yet to be beaten (they slow off lights
). but in reality, i want to toss my ulock in there front wheel each time i see them (mind you they beat cars)
you kick ass
any way possible (with out me sounding like a dink... can i still say that?) that you could bring them to MEC tomorrow (see this is where it gets bad) along with those bars
? i'll give you chocolate AND $$$ (best combo infact)

Okay folks here's the deal. Total cost was $363. If you ordered 120mm it's $39. If you ordered 126 or 130 it's $41.
Now the 'bad' news. The front hubs have the iro logo in silver, the rear in black. Also 2 of the rear hubs are not "iro", another label is on them, but they are they same hub. I can't recall which ones are mislabeled, but I'll pm whomever it may concern to see if anyone cares. We can sort out the where to meets later. I'm busy all weekend working and won't really be free until Tuesday.

too late as in sometime after craigslist caught on? It's been pretty weak the past few years.
PS- I highly doubt I'll be able to drag my ass out of bed early tomorrow, so I may have to renege.

Also- does anyone know if the Alex DA22 track wheel, sold as 110 has enough axle to space it out to 126?

All the hubs match what was ordered. 2 of the rear hubs are branded zzyzx, not iro and the 2 people who get those will be pmed in case there is a problem.
I'm going to do the DSR dirt ride Tues night, and was thinking after that I may head to Manic Coffee to meet/distibute the hubs. Or people can call me and we can work out a time. I'm at home in the days so it's fairly easy to get ahold of me and meet up. I have a baby and no car so not to far from where I live, Pape/Danforth area.
4one6-4six4-six4two7
And the best part is......2 extra rear hubs arrived in the box, 130mm spacing. Anyone here wants I'm selling for a good price before I c-list them.
Edit: Heading to MEC in awhile, anyone onthe way there from my area, or close (Cam and Andrew) let me know and I can swing by with them. Be heading out in the next hour or so once Carson wakes from his nap.

Thanks pyze!
Had an interesting altercation with a Beck cab last night - was around 6pm or so, my buddy and I riding together in the curb lane on Danforth, the guy honks us (he was trying to race the gap between traffic and the parked cars) - so I gave chase a little to see what his problem was... He swerved right into me (I had time and backed out) and belted off, my buddy saw this and gave chase himself. Cabbie went into the LTO lane at Coxwell (westbound we were) and then promptly swerved into the straight lane and ran the red light. H ewas stopped at Monarch Park and my buddy barracaded him in while I was on the phone with Beck (turned out the guy was suspended, they advised me to call the police) so as I was calling 54 Div, one of their cars rolled up.
Sadly, one of my other buddies who was behind us caught up and was a bit drunk and spat on the cabbies car - had that not happened, I'm pretty sure the cabbie would've got tickets right there. Was nice and exciting, though.
I let a lot of stuff go on the road, but this guy was blatently causing us trouble - and pretty dangerous trouble, I've never been so viciously swerved into before. The only thing the cops said to us was "don't try and stop cars when you're on a bike - that's crazy" heh.
Cab # 2271 FYI.

The boss wasn't havin' getting up early this morning so I ducked out and spent an hour in the Don.

So that sharp little off-camber rise up around a tree in the Don, after you've dragged yourself up from the Pottery Road trailhead (then you dip right back down and the trail winds a bit more before you come out at the gravel path) ... I finally picked a decent line and made it up that today. That thing's been bugging me for a while. Booya.

Fail.
Ouch! That's painful just to look at.
I was at the velodrome today. I am planning on going for a recreational session some Saturday in June, just to get some laps in, if anyone is interested in coming along. It could be on one of the days they have the Track 1 intro, if anyone who has not been wants to sign up and try it out. They do the Track 1 and then the next 2 hours are usually recreational time. i can take up to 3 people, and am going to get more bike attachments for my rack as well.

[QUOTE=jeremywhitehorn;6664810]no problem, glad to clear out the basement a bit. thanks for the peugot! i've actually built it up already for the whopping out of pocket cost of $30 (front loooong reach brake). couldn't find red fenders wide enough for it though.
Crumbs! I have a pair of Panet Bike fenders I painted red to match. I'll bring'em to work with me on Monday. I think they have all the hardware with them still. They're yours if'n you want'em.

So that accident must've been an unwanted unclip? Ouchie indeed
Brutal for the poor girl following with nowhere to go, too - I love that in the shot as she's preparing for the pavement hit, she's already got her foot unclipped ready.
Watched Iron Man tonight, pretty neat - saw it on the new Digital projection theatre at the Queensway Cineplex, boo-ya.
If one was going to get a good chain tool, which would you get? Using lots-o-torque has ruined my cheapo tool. Several budget options would be cool - I don't know what's good/worth it in terms of value for money.
Pyze, if you're about tomorrow I can swing by your area/meet somewhere at your convenience - I'm going to be in the east end at some point I'm sure anyway - if not, I can certainly wait until Tuesday.
