going through the ridge near the start there is a up and over ramp thats about 2 feet wide on th up and narrows to carved log and 6 inch ramp on the down side. i thought it was onther one in the don that was wide the whole way. went over, lost it half way down, trhe bike went out under on the right and launched me over as the wheel hit. managed to get my right arm up but the left got pinned under me ang took the full force of the fall.
hopfully back on a bike in 7 days.

Hey Som, I'm pretty sure LaBicicletta carries Dada bar tape along with a good number of other brands. Sporting Life has a limited supply. Also try Duke's in their new location at 452 Richmond W.

hahaha.. bingo. It only took us 3 days.
Cool, thanks. I have Deda tape on my road bike and I like it. Time to re-wrap that one as well as my CX bike.

Did you ever learn the uber-pro method of wrapping bars that doesn't require any tape being stuffed into the bars at the ends and also avoid electrical tape touching the bare portion of the bars at the tops? If not, let me know and I'll show you how.
I got some pretty cheap bar-tape from MEC last week....it is $6.75 and made by Planet Bike. The thing I like most about it is that there is no adhesive backing which means I can re-tape it anytime I need to switch out the bars or adjust positions, etc....
Lots of different colours as well---red, blue, black, pink and white.

side note: ****. I'm leaving on a plane tomorrow, to go to a country where i know no one , and don't speak the language, to do a job i don't even know if i truly want to do. Worst of all i realized i don't have any boxers! anyone know if the Bay is open tomorrow?
now all i got to do is find an old bike, over there and fix it up, got my trusty fagetaboutit lock and giro helmet
blog is up and running, and i shall update it periodically, maybe. so far it just has the story of how i got found, kinda lame i know.

The Eaton Centre is open today, I assume the bay is considered part of it.

it is very similar to toronto in alot of ways.
i'll see if i can find the card/brochure thing in my box of "souveniers" or "crap i keep for no real reason" to get you the name/address of my favourite restaurant there. its this amazing pasta joint with decent prices that keeps photos of all their famous guests on the wall. the table i was at had a photo of the dali lama eating there.
anyway, alot of people understand/speak english, so you wont be hung out to dry.
edit : i can also tell you where there is a cash converters ( i thought those only existed in scarborough and the shadier parts of london, but apparantly they started in new zealand.)

Fun!
50ish +- min wind assisted from Mississauga to the Leslie /Queen.
Wish it was longer.
Bloor, Yogne, King, Queen route.
Feels good to rip for longer than it takes to get back and forth to work.

hey guys - still have two jerseys left if anyone's still interested. also, a pile of tires (mostly skinny 700c and i think a few 650 knobbies), a couple saddles, some biopace chainrings, a camelback (pack only), some flat/spd pedals and some other miscellany. i'd like to get rid of it soonish so give me a shout if you need some parts.

Woot woot we all survived Albion today. Had a hella fun day. Lotsa single track, lotsa dirt in my lungs, tired legs. As Wes would say... it's time to get lazy. So where we going next weekend?
