Small group turned out for the ride tonight, I doubled back once we got to the lookout just past the booths, as I had a slow leak on the front (after having a flat on the way, tube-ass holery all round).

the only thing that made me think it was stolen was the price. all the parts seem too be very top-drawer.

question for the tech-boys: are those little 7" $300 linux based laptops worth it? i was thinking of one just for portability etc. how easy is it to install xp or the like on those things?

hey guys, i posted in the trading thread but i thought id post here as well since i live pretty close to toronto. i have a welded 55cm no name steel track frame (red) with a few paint chips and a small ding in the top tube which i believe was originally bought from cyclepath and im looking to trade it for something a touch smaller, either another track frame or a decent steel road bike to convert. im willing to pitch cash as well if you have something better than what i've got. I considered one of them eepc for 0 noise browsing/messaging then switching on main pc for gaming. Couldn't justify the cost yet still (and the lower performance). *nix would work just as fine on the eepc.

There's an IRO Rob Roy frameset hanging at Cycle Therapy which I'll be building up too this summer. It'll be orange, no logos on the frame, with stupidly bling parts that show I'm trying to live above my means.

If I had a reason to own one I would already. But I have a laptop already, so it seems silly. I think Andre (aka. Fuzzz) has one.. try PMing him.

agreed...that thing is priced outta competition...its supposed to be a barebones laptop but its priced the same as the futureshop special laptops...why would i get that when i can kick in a little extra and get a better cpu/more ram/a hard drive/a dvdburner?

The blitz continues.. one of their favourite spots is Beverley + Baldwin. I saw 2 cruisers, an unmarked car, and a bike cop within a single block; glad to know the city is safe from renegade cyclists.

The campaign seems to be targeting running stop signs + no bell.

Sorry, not a particularly helpful comment I made. I was thinking more in terms of putting Windows on instead of using Linux. I think they use Xandros though, and I have no idea what the distro is like.
