Yeah, that was a great weekend. It saddens me to realize that it isn't an annual Toronto event. I'll have my pics and/or video up tonight.

jeremywhitehorn 06-16-08 07:52 PM

my turn posting some photos. even if i was only there for an hour or two. i'm glad i ran into some of you guys - it would have kind have sucked drinking beer alone in the rain.

hey phil is this you? the image is a bit blurry so i can't tell and i don't remember taking it:

Beware, bike cop south on St George busting cyclists running the stop sign just north of Harbord. Handing them out like it is Christmas.

TRaffic Jammer 06-17-08 11:53 AM

gonna have to catch me first.... 'can't get enough of my Sugar Crisps...' FB photoset uploading as I type. Is there a flickr tool that will allow a folder upload form der Mac? Man that was fun this weekend.....will be endlessly kickin' myself for not entering. Met up with a couple buddies I haven't since the 80's GOOD GOD!!!

exhibitx 06-17-08 11:56 AM

i use the flickr uploader, http://flickr.com/tools/

works on both pc and mac, pretty simply, pretty slow ... but it's good

Doesn't look like me, but it must be - raingear is on - I can tell it's my bike by the fenders + my two bottles ;)

+1 on the great photos (still getting through all of them! :D)

It was a really fun weekend, I had a total blast. I didn't qualify due to a sweated-up timecard (rookie non-messenger error I figure ;)) but man I had fun nonetheless. Wish it could be more close/regular thing, Tokyo for next year might be a tall order :p This type stuff even makes me wish I could afford to work on the road somedays, I miss the collective/brotherhood feeling, only had that with the Army before - such a good crowd of folks.

always a favourite spot. makes perfect sense busting cyclists at a T intersection on campus surrounded by slow moving traffic...

does anyone know if MEC has replacement batteries for knog lights?

mike did you guys miss the rain on the way out? i was riding to the gate as the ferry was just pulling away from the dock and in the time i was waiting for the next one the skies just opened up and let fly the fury.

i was heading for the ferry at the same moment. not the driest trip home, but i think the impromptu pack ride away from the ferry terminal was the most fun i had all day.

TRaffic Jammer 06-17-08 01:53 PM

Does anyone have the scoop on the Bye ride ? Supposedly 7:30 this evening? grrr lost all tags and comments from FB, error? Bastids

Flimflam 06-17-08 03:46 PM

7:30 Yonge/Queens Quay. Route is riding out to the spit IIRC (can't find the flyer now myself).

I'm heading to Chippys on Queen W and then onward for a slowroll down.

Not really in the same area, but the Fish & Chips place on Broadview, just south of Danforth is pretty awesome. Chippy's has gone way downhill. I prefer Harbord F&C in the West end.

...

Now I want fish & chips! This place I went to in Vancouver last week is totally awesome, I go there every time I'm in the city. I wish it was here!

Herbie_Glick 06-17-08 03:57 PM

So this weekend continues to provide awesome bicycle memories such as Zef's face getting up and close with Temperance St. My shot was one in a million...Feel free to "chop" these guys!

shhh! :)

I grew up in Newfoundland. I miss proper fish 'n' chips! Especially with dressing (like a stove top stuffing made with Newfoundland Savoury herbs) and gravy.. oh god.. I've worked myself into a lather. ;)

**** i wish i had been there. *goes back to look at the pictures*

jeremywhitehorn 06-17-08 05:40 PM

i'll post up something in the trade forum too but i'm wondering if any of you guys have got a set of mtb/bmx cranks with a smaller-than-130-bcd (110 or 94; so i can run a 21t ring) you want to get rid of? do you cycle solutions guys still have those 94bcd suginos you had at the show perhaps?

jeremywhitehorn 06-17-08 05:58 PM

hey, you think this is stolen? if it's legit, then it's a good price for what you're getting. someone snap it up!

They are standard cr2032. As much as I dislike MEC they do sell replacement batteries for them.

jet sanchEz 06-17-08 06:10 PM

Speaking of MEC, I was down there today and they are building up a service area for bikes. It looks pretty snazzy,
I think they dumped a lot of money into this project. I wonder how their prices will be?

I_bRAD 06-17-08 06:14 PM

I'm guessing cheap. Like every day low prices cheap.

jet sanchEz 06-17-08 06:23 PM

My guess as well.
