Mec always has a good selection.

Also, that marinoni is hot. Nice way to get over the langster.

Bikes: '08 Marinoni Pista, '05 specialized langster(RIP), '06 norco kokanee(RIP), '05 norco charger(RIP),'08 surly steamroller, surly big dummy coming soon!

It is a sweet ride, i took the lakeshore out to etobicoke and back this morning and then rode around the city for a bit. stopped in at cervelo and saw dan working hard(ha!).

this time i'm leaving my gf in the garage and i sleep with my bike from now on! and also i got a chain lock and a u-lock. the chain leads to three snarling angry dogs. i've been pokin 'em with a stick and singing off key. moo may ma moe. mo moo mah may!

Definitely a nice 'noni, sweet man.

+1 on what length, Wes? I have stock IRO cranks and I think 75s would be a nice thing to upgrade to.

TJ: I've ridden Jane from Bloor to Hwy 7 before - it's not too bad (though it was -15 last time I was up there, less issues on the road in that weather) - heading north is going to be a bit ****ty with the incline - I wouldn't personally recommend Eglinton to traverse across, bit too busy in places for my liking (like around Leslie/deathzone) - other than that, Yonge isn't too bad IMO for a straight haul north, I'd head west until you get across the Don, then head north of Bloor from there. Davenport for east/west is nice for the most part. The very western side of St. Clair W sucks hard, and that whole street is rolling hills with intermittent construction and general ballbaggery - so don't bother with that IMO.

Pyze: you done with the chainwhip? I should grab that from you when possible.

I got some SIDI bullets at MEC for reasonably cheap. An okay shoe except for the hard plastic sole which is very treacherous on wet rocks or anything hard and slippery.

Velotique has Shimano M075's on for $90. They get some pretty good reviews at www.mtbr.com although I haven't used them myself.

so to get over my lack of bike, I had to crash some parties in the last few days.

First Tom Ford party (which turned into the gucci after after party). Invite only, but i got in (spilled a drink on goreieo armanie, met tom cruse(or brad pit, cant remember/care), and a bunch of designers(D&G)). then crashed D^2 party tonight, then went to a better (more girls) party...

yup... thats my *i havent been on a bike in 1.5 months* gloat

the races sounded awesome, i am living vicariously through your stories... keep them coming

I have a set of Sugino Messenger cranks coming to me soon, will I need to change anything BB-wise? I figure it should be okay but right now I am running a set of Shimano 600 road cranks and there is a bit of noise. I hope the Messengers solve that....

Stuart, did Tom Cruise hit on you?

What chainline and what bb length do you have right now?

You might need to pick up a 103mm bottom bracket if you are planning to run a chainring on the outer slot. As for the noise, i'm running the same BB with a set of old Sugino GLP's and its pretty quiet. Although my chain is set up with 1" of slack, so that might have something to do with it.

It was my bike during my stint as a courier. sigh...

that jersey makes me want rotisserie chicken.
