Toronto Fixed
Dood, you have a velodrome right there. Ask around or put up a notice on their bulletin board that you are looking for a cheap track frame in whatever size you need. I bet you will find something right away. I recall someone saying that the velodrome sells off their rentals every now and then too, that is a nice and cheap way to get a nice bike too.

And then you bring it across the border wherence you get taxed 13%. And you lose the ability to go to your LBS for warranty service. Unless you know how to do your own work and have the tools, in which case it's moot.
So you then have less than $170 to play around with, assuming it costs you nothing ot get there and back + time spent. Given the right circumstances it would be cheaper to go across the border.

Jeremey re: your question about tour streaming, you can sign up for cycling.tv. It's pretty awesome actually it's about $40 for a year and you can watch lots of European races like in Belgium like cross and other assorted stuff that we never catch here. There's a UCI channel for a bit more too and then you can watch the word championiships and stuff. What's cool too is you can watch it live or go back later and watch it on demand. The $40 is well worth it I think.

haha! I actually think it is awesome how elitist the Keirin series is in Japan. There has never been a non Japanese champion in any of the classes in the history of Keirin. Ben Day and Curt Harnett among others found out it didn't matter how fit you were there, if you were foreign you were getting teamed up on. I think they only allow two foreigners into keirin school per season.

Apparently it recorded the time we were sitting still having lunch, even though I hit stop on the computer. Weird.
edit: heh.. just clicked the 'speed' section. My fastest speed was 56km/h... going uphill!
That must have been when I was hammering down that one really rolling doubletrack section and trying to get enough momentum to make it up a hill without having to drop down into a granny gear.

So out to the Aberfoyle Antique market today then off to Arboretum for a round of golf on the Magnolia course. Very fun. And I bought a cocktail shaker! I feel a martini party coming on!

Shortish holes but lots of friggin' trees to make things interesting. I think I hit a tree with nearly every shot. But a nicely designed course.

"I never got a hole in one, but I did hit a guy. And thats waaay more satisfying. I was gonna yell '4' but i was too busy mumbling 'there ain't no way thats gonna hit him' "

Thanks for the link TJ, watched the last 15/20 minutes of todays stage. Impressive sprint by the lead guys to finish the stage... I've never really watched any bike race coverage before, that was just nuts though
Had a nail pierce my new kevlar back tyre yesterday while I was riding the hydro path (the dirt path up the hill on the south side of the creek) in Taylor Creek, glad I had my stuff with me though. Only got in 80k over the weekend but I guess that's better than nothing. Knee is almost not painful anymore, stupid pedal bang
