The photos in the Toronto Archives. Can you get copies of them? I thought some old shots might be nice on the wall.

Edit: Apparently the answer is yes: http://www.toronto.ca/archives/copy_fees.htm

This is a brilliant idea... I wanted some old timey photos to hang on the wall and some from the archives would be perfect - the CNE race photos especially... Storm the gates!

Yeah I was at a mediation today and I noticed they had these old photos of downtown. If the picture is already scanned you can just copy it and send it to Blacks I'd assume

With the "pavement" these days riding like the Don flats (or worse) I find the days when I bring that bike to work are actually a bit of a relief... I can watch for Beck drivers and other familyman/sociopaths behind the wheel instead of focusing entirely on the gaping craters. The limited travel of the much older fork doesn't match up well with the newer frame design though so I have somewhat accelerated steering control.

I bought the frame and fork off craigslist last year and decided to keep it rigid. My last "mtb" had such limited travel that I don't think I'll miss it for the type of trails I'll be riding. The bike rolls over potholes really nice and the drops do a great job absorbing the bumps as well. I'm also too cheap to drop more $$$ on a suspension fork with a longer steerer tube than the ones I already have. Seems I am the owner of a new mortgage and bike stuff is now a luxury according to my wife.

Monster CROSS on SUNDAY, SUNDay, Sunday!!!

They aren't too bad in traffic. I have 52cm wide moustache bars on 2 bikes and some wide Space bars on the other one so I'm used to it now.

Stupid chain broke again. Well, it's my fault actually as I checked tonight and realized my chainline is way off. Seems I aligned to the outside cog to the inside chainring, which is a perfect line. Oops.

Been off the bike two days due to a messed up back and what started as a drive train cleaning turned into an inch by inch polish of the bike.

Those M520s are the ugliest pedals ever...

Good to know :thumb:

They're also turning out to be really easy to get into so I'm all around happy with them aside from the fact that they're hideous. I think if I stripped the paint off them they'd look alot better though, so that's always an option.

I bought Licensed to Ill at Sears. I think it was the first album I ever purchased and I practically wore that cassette to pieces in my ginormous Consumer's Distributing walkman. That is all.

Oh, I'm heading to the bike show tonight after work. Hopefully I'll find find some new shoes, a new helmet, maybe find a lighter fork for the Rob Roy and also pick up my racing licence for the season. Anyone know which entrance has the most secure (underground preferably) parking?

I\m heading down this evening as well.

When you hit the Don last week, where did you go in and ride? I'm going to head over later and try to get a ride in.

I actually just filthed myself up at the paths weaving through/above the Brick Works and the strip of singletrack next to the railroad tracks leading from there to the Don trailhead. If you find any clear trails in the Don please post an update.

I'll call you in a bit Chris.

Those cranks you gave me are getting properly loved these days. Thanks again.

I swear Krusty is like the organ donor who's "parts" help so many people. I can't wait to use my Krusty Crank.
Yours or Mine? Woke up with a 2x4 in my head, but the root canal is done. Although when the ladies came home they said I looked swollen.

Congrats, Chris!

I just bought at Beaconsfield & Afton... I love the place I'm in now but an opportunity came up I just couldn't pass up... I was lucky enough to not have to sell my little condo in this ****ty market and was at least able to get decent coin in rental to pay down that mortgage while I chip away at the new place...

Slumlord Rennick, WHAT!?

I rented a place on Milveron in the next block a while back, and another place over on Woodington too... nice neighbourhood. Seem to be hearing about it more often in real estate news too, should serve you well as both a home and an investment.

We live in that area now and wanted to stay close to the Riverdale/Danforth strip. Lucky to find aplace in the area that fit our budget and was still close to where we are now.
