I've never been a fan of those, actually. The laces cover is a bit much.

Fluevog tried to make an SPD shoe that looked like a regular shoe and the soles kept breaking in half. When he made stiffer soled shoes, they were uncomfortable. Kind of a Catch-22 I guess.

I'm trying to picture what a Fluevog riding shoe would be like. My Fluevog creepers are nice and all but they aren't light by any means. Didn't Airwalk make a pair ages ago?

Bummer. Last week I did some laps on the grass/mud and a stick got stuck in my spokes. Well I just realized the rim cracked...

Unless you have a hook-up with some shop, I would start looking online. Most shops are just going to charge you whatever the MSRP is.

darn those shops, trying to stay in business and everything

I wonder how skateable those are? Interesting.
The cover is great but how far does the mount inset? Can you cover them with the cleat installed and go for a session on the ramp? |

http://shop.vans.com/webapp/wcs/stor...http:ClickInfo wouldnt that create hotspots on the inside of your feet? |
it's probably too bulky and wide to put it in the middle

If you get those it pretty much means you're going to ride BMX. :D
From the old guys racing to the **** that kids can pull on the street I have nothing but respect for that particular area of cycling. |

Speaking of BMX, I saw a woman riding around town on an old Haro Master from the late '80s, probably and 86 or so. Such an amazing amazing bike, everyone wanted one of those bikes but they were too expensive back in the day so we all settled for Norcos. The last thing I need is a BMX bike but man, it looked so nice...
|
man, if only this was bigger than a 56cm...
|
Nice Pini but....650c?
|
56cm frame and 650c's.... what would be the reasoning for this?
|
It's because it's a triathlon bike I think.

Anyone knows if the black deepvs are coated or anodized? And i went down to Urbane for the first time to get a cog/lockring installed, pretty nice shop overall. They sell lots of cool stuff and service is great.
|
black is anodized

did the donut sat morning on the 80's bianchi road. i didn't get dropped nearly as bad and had a great time. 63kms no soreness.
doing this fixed tho....? possible, sure. but I think it would be pretty frustrating.. http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/3...googlecomc.jpg I got to enjoy a bun from the famed Grandma's Oven http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/197...ooglecom1p.jpg I think i was the only bike that had a non aero rear wheel and clips/straps, but it was good times. Someone flatted right in the center of the pack on the climb up hwy7 and everyone had to split around him. A coach on the ride from La biccicletta and on his 'tempo rides' saw me struggling with a smaller pack and gave me some tips to get into a draft and gave me a push up one of the larger hills north of rutherford approaching kirby rd. I drafted the same rider from rutherford to just south of king where I metup with another group of riders for the split. good times! |
Looks like fun! I had an interesting time riding out to Pickering this Sunday.
|
looks/sounds like fun. Just curious, was the 63kms the short loop?
|
What was the average speed of the ride?
