Then I was like lets settle this by RACING, he's like OK. At the next intersection he pulls onto the road and like, are we doing this or what. I don't answer him look down at this bigass dial on my handlebars and turn it to 4000W (p0wnz0r level) and go eat it, west side story *****!
As I was powering up my rear wheels starts burning off rubber and he disappears in an envelop of dust. 5 seconds later I was 2km in front of him and doing 50kph up a 10% grade.
kthx.

well with a quik release I would'nt have to worry about stripping anything unlike the bolt which strips, maybe I could drive my bike over to Carvern bike shop and ask them.

How much play do you have on your chain?
Looked at the pic. I don't see why a QR wouldn't work.

****ing Ryerson admissions office w/ their busy phone line all day that closes half an hour earlier than what their site says! *throws a cop car*
Operator, best story evar.
Edit: So I went out for a ride, stupidly forgot to install a bottle cage on the Lemond and didn't drink a thing until I got back to downtown, proceeded to drink a litre of pop before making a b-line to the gf's bar, wolfed down 2 pints and made my way (thankfully downhill) home. The Sarthe gets a bottle cage tonight and I learned a phlegmy/headachey lesson.

Steeker, with those vertical dropouts quick release should be fine for SS. If you fix it, you'll likely want to go to a solid axle and nuts. Why do are you using a safety skewer anyway? You never get more than ten feet from that bike!

... on the basis that I respect your opinion, I will follow your advice. But man oh man did I ever want to launch into a "financial institution, not a learning institution" rant about the post secondary school system. I'll save that for another time when people are actually in the mood for a vitriolic diatribe.
