Wow. I just realized that no one will understand or care about anything I just wrote. Anyways, the point is, feel sorry for me because I'm sitting at my computer writing up a research proposal instead of being outside riding like some of you lucky barstards.

PS. She has decided that she wants that pinarello frame in the beaches. Because its so shiny and pretty... and because I spent like an hour telling her how awesome italian steel bike are... and because I took her on ebay and showed her how expensive they are as well.

So the understanding is at a minor level, but the caring is far from nonexistent.

I'm already downtown, but I'm in office clothes, not riding clothes. If anyone wants to meet up, just name a time and a place. I'm only about 10 mins from home, so I can easily ride home and change.

Oh man, I got offered a grad position in a brand new lab at York University that had the most insane EEG nets. They were lit up and stuff. And there were these things that were supposedly cameras, but really they just looked like giant beach balls on sticks. Mad braaaain sciiiencccce.

I don't think I can do a ride on Friday.. a friend of my is defending their PhD thesis on Friday and having a celebration bash in the evening.
I think I might go home, get changed and then ride down to the Ex and do some laps. If anyone wants to find me, that's likely where I'll be. Unless of course someone comes up with a better plan in the next hour or so.

Also, Oliver Sacks is the ****. He spoke at Con Hall sometime this year but I couldn't make it. Too bad, he's supposed to be a great lecturer. Wes, I assume you read "The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat"?

And yeah, that's the one I read. I have a few of his other books in my wishlist.

I'd also recommend Mind Hacks (both the book and site) to anyone interested too as it uses examples you can try yourself to illustrate pretty much every weird little quirk of the brain.

So it's the CHRP grant you're after?
You just wanted to get paid to annoy dementia patients...... admit.
sick ......really sick....
Is that like that brain wave feedback loop I read about to stimulate healthy brain activity?
The cure for depression?
