operator, you're free to ride cam (named after its benefactor haahah) for as long as you want but i need a beater! sorry mang... it'll be more satisfying to hunt down something and build it up yourself.
Does that mean i'm riding... Cam... ? Ohuh...
NOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

TRaffic Jammer 06-05-06 09:58 AM

Glad it was a good time. Tour De l'ile...good god what a time to be there. The single largest cycling event in the world is that thing.(in the book of records no less) as upwards of 80,000 bikers go for a jaunt around the island. I swear the island tips when they all get to one side.

As for gearing I rode with a bmx freewheel in the back, 14 I think.... dang lotta years ago. I want to say 46-14.....48?... I climbed pretty well so maybe 46, but I could sprint 50k+ish on flats. There were a couple fixed riders back then messin' , settin the wayback machine Mr Peabody. It's been sooo many years since I've ridden MTL and climbed from Old Montreal up to the hospitals...... you made me miss it... Thank you. :)

Well I know that Flav will be there, and so will I. I have a feeling you will be, so that's 3. Also Vet Youth will be fo sure, and if you're bringing beer, you can probably expect at least another 10

i plan on being there with a beer or two. everyone bring one can / bottle of their favourite and we'll swap. who's in?

where we meeting? honest ed's at 10?

Offhoff 06-05-06 10:38 AM

If Edmonton dispatches Carolina without the need for overtime I'll be around for CV, still honest ed's parking lot as the meet-up?

gokiburi 06-05-06 11:11 AM

sorry, don't mean to hijack this thread (hahah) but here are 2 nice bikes on craigslist:

http://toronto.craigslist.org/bik/167257273.html

cinelli super corsa: $750 bling bling
http://toronto.craigslist.org/bik/167253150.html

gokiburi 06-05-06 11:13 AM

http://www.cbc.ca/toronto/features/f...ng/police.html

jet sanchEz 06-05-06 11:25 AM

So 10pm in the parking lot at Honest Ed's?

operator 06-05-06 11:55 AM

Any chance it can be earlier than 10 for those of us who aren't downtown?

That Cinelli is sweet. I used to have one and loved it. Prolly has horizontal drop-outs as well. $750 for what is on it is very reasonable. OP? you watching? That has Operator written all over it.
$450 for a 2002 bike? Save up another $100 and buy a brand new one.

it's a group ride, but i think i lit a fire in some people when i suggested we bring beer along to quaff mid ride or after or whatever. i just like beer is all.

looks like rain from where i am; if there is water coming from the sky, i'll probably stay home otherwise it's H.E. parking lot at 10 for me.
