Operator, why don't you ever come downtown when I am - we're always going in opposite direction? Oh, but you're coming to the Hart House breakfast tomorrow with sonomblant, right? Traffic should be definitely manageable, moreso than during the wildcat strike.

If the Paul levers are for mtn bike bars they will not fit on road bars....the bar diameter is too big.

I'm looking at flipping my stem over to the negative rake to get a flatter back on the ride. Things to adjust/look out for? It's just been too long for me since adjusting stuff and I want to make sure I don;t miss anything.

practically every bike i've ever had came with a rising stem which i flipped upside downf or negative drop. i've never once encountered a problem. just do it! :D

boroSS is obviously sharper than me. I was thinking you meant you were going to flip your stem over to from negative to positive rise, and then spin it 180 so the stem extends towards you for a super high laid back riding position. I think it was your erronious use of the term 'rake'. Either way it was an amusing image.

TRaffic Jammer 06-06-06 01:30 PM

 rake should have been rise?....D'oh rake....and trail is for forks.... opps my bad.
Shiz that would have been pretty funny, with big assed ape bars.

I saw another chopper ride this week-end.... I want one for slow toolin' around.

jeremywhitehorn 06-06-06 01:41 PM

double post...again.

rake is a term used for forks, as well as trail. i always confuse the two, leonard zinn's illustrations explain them:

it'll totally drop the bars below the seat, I haven't had that hard a position for years, but the need-for-speed is calling me.... can you hear it? Bonus is I still have the spacers on my fork if I need to adjust further.

I still find it counter-intuitive that road bars are bigger than mntn bars. :)

TRaffic Jammer 06-06-06 01:52 PM

You would think it would be the other way round.
