glad to meet all of you bike forum people!!! but who's who? name, bike, and user name here please :D

it was a fun ride...not as hammerfest-y as i'd have liked actually!! but totally awesome! u guys are a bunch of jokers!

for those (and probably that means everybody) who dont know, i'm mister aerospoke with the cheating freewheel "from hades that should burn in hell" as "the guy who didnt know where he was going" so eloquently put it.

boroSS 06-05-06 11:42 PM

oh, and i'd like to mention that the *entire asian cycling populatin in toronto* participated in that ride! hahaha :p

ronin2046 06-05-06 11:48 PM

Actually, it was good to kick up the cadence/speed! Just as Steeker mentioned earlier that he thought CV rides were about chillin' and pub hopping.

Next CV should be a chill fest... Some speediness, some taxi cab dodgin', some pub hoppin', some parking garage ruckusin', some skiddin', some trackstandin', and some chillin'...

Okay, I'll stop rattlin' on :)

operator 06-05-06 11:49 PM

Damnit, I should've came. That would've been more azn then you could imagine. At any rate.

It's not always like that. Hammerfest-y, I mean. This was a particularly hammer-y CV. Next CV, I vote bar biking.
Lies.

operator 06-06-06 12:48 AM

There was a Bianchi? What?

somnambulant 06-06-06 06:11 AM

yeah, good CV last night. Although it was late for my gettin' up for work ass. :P

I posted my pics to flickr just now also. They're the last 5 in this set: http://www.flickr.com/photos/wes/set...7594081307898/

ps. I was the beard / glasses guy on the urbanite, for those that didn't recognize me from my avatar pic. ;)

EDIT: those pictures all looked fine on my powerbook screen at home, but most of them are super dark on my monitor at work. Guess I'll edit and re-upload tonight. b'oh!

"Steeker?"
"Yes Mom?"
"Have you done your stinky a$$ laundry yet?"
"No Mom"
"Well no fun C.V. rides until you do all your chores and laundry!"
"Yes Mom"

I saw Orbital live - they did that one. Good times.

OH YES, today I can unleash the Slayer mix tape!

somnambulant 06-06-06 07:27 AM

ps. anyone want to hit Hart House for breakfast tomorrow morning? It's frEeeEEeEE! I had coffee and a muffin at the Bike Joint this morning. It totally energized me. I was so tired/cranky/dehydrated when I got up this morning. I think it's because I had several glasses of wine with dinner, then lazed around and played Oblivion for a couple hours, then did CV, then went home and went straight to bed. My legs felt like if I bent at the knees more than 10 degrees in bed this morning, my calves would cramp up into a full knot. Pleasant! I'm going to be such a cranky bastard old man. :P

pps. REMINDER: velodrome this Saturday. Make sure your asses are at Cavern at 10:00.

ppps. I need to hit Long & Mcquade to buy a microphone that's 50% off (only on Saturday) before I head down to meet you guys, so I'll try my best to be there for 10:00. But you know, I might be a few minutes late.

pppps. 10:00! :P

Is this internet thing gonna catch on finally or what?
I was the geek in school changing grades on a TRS-80 and an acoustic modem coupler.
viva 2600!!!

Plus I'm soooo woefully unaware of the gobs of new music it hurts. That's where my musical knowledge falls down flat.

Shiznaz 06-06-06 08:04 AM

I'm fairly certain that the butthole surfers are not much older than Orbital. You're just 'out of the loop' as they say. Orbital is almost 20 years old...

jeremywhitehorn (points for most original user name ever); purple geeked-out bridgestone built for a giant.

remember, beer-exchange for next CV!

STEEKER 06-06-06 08:12 AM

I'll just stick to my parking garages riding through fountains skidding and balance drills so I can track stand and ride backwards and drive around the city scoping out patio's and headshops
