yeah he got his brake lever hooked in some fan's musette bag which yanked his bars to the side. and let's not forget merckx getting punched in the face by some surly fan. cycling is the only pro sport in the world where fans can get that close to athletes; if i were a pro i'd be all for increaced crowd control.

if you guys come out to cherry bomb give me a heads up as i live just up the road.

in related news, i may head over to jet fuel before work tomorrow to watch a bit of the tour stage. anyone know what time the morning oln coverage starts?

Man, any rider on the Tour that gets jacked by a careless fan should be able to pound the fan mercilessly until they feel they have to get going again. With their level of fitness and having a high heart rate going in I bet they could do it. It could be part of the spectator appeal

Can the rest of the crowd throw weapons for the rider to use? Can he use the actual barricade?
