I don't think it's designed for a 650c, I think I've got the fork from its original incarnation as a roadie. It probably just looks slightly funny because of the geometry-related sacrifices you have to make to incorporate 700c wheels into a 44 cm frame. I'm actually having a little trouble skidding because of the lax geometry (as compared to my Fuji track).

Is it possible that my fork is extra fat or something, or is it more likely that you did indeed give me a rear instead of the front?

The 105 is for the front and the Sora is for the back.
The front brake bolt
actually needs to recess into the fork, I dunno how old the fork is and if it will accomodate it though. You may need to drill out the back side a bit and get a longer recessed nut and it will just rest on the back of the frok crown, it's and easy fix either way.
Come by the shop if you need some help I can probably do it on the spot I will be there sunday 11-5, and 9-8 most days during the week.

I'm an idiot. Danke.
In other news, putting fenders on a road bike is a GIANT pain in the ass. I had to dremel some of the hardware to get the bastards to fit, and even now there's a tiny bit of tire rub which I decided I would just have to live with.
