I'll wear one if you wear one... :D |
Keep it in your jersey pocket.
After spinning like mad for far too long only her tiny first bike my daughter absolutely rips smooth speed on her new 20 '' SS. Getting her too slow down and get more bar control is the thing now. |

It took me an afternoon to get the frame down to the metal with Poly-Stripper. If I ever get another frame powder-coated, I will go to Spectrum.
I also noticed no one mentioned liquid coats for their bike (shinier!?), why? I have the cash at the moment and really anxious to get this on the road. |

Yeah picked up a used frame from keith on Friday. Clamont with columbus tubing/campy dropouts. 54cm, it's going to fit perfectly. I think i'm going to have it redone in red. And it's going to be fixed when I get it done.
Anyone have any new 42/44 teeth 110bcd chainrings they want to sale me? Chainrings are like $60 at Urbane...! uhuhuhuh.. operator needs a stripper.. http://www.pezcyclingnews.com/photos...st02-wheel.jpg |

Surprisingly enough, the gf got freaked out when I snuck up behind her wearing the dew rag. She swatted it off my head like it was a rat.

eyefloater: I think she might be "the one". ;)
well, I can now add "no handed trackstands" to my repertoire. Next step: backwards circles. I can't do those in my (home) office while listening to music though, so that might take longer than the 20 minutes it took me going from 2-handed to 1-handed to 0 handed. :P |
Devote your life to backwards circles. You owe it to the rest of us. I'm still working on bunny hops w/ fixed gear.

So back from the 24 hr race. What an absolute blast. There were over 3000 people racing! The organizers of these events have this s#!t down pat. Our team did much better than expected finishing 15th out of 80 teams in our category. I ended up doing 3 16km laps, 2 night ones. I was a bit intimidated going out for my first night lap but 20 wattts of lighting goes a long way in the dark forests of Albion. I was only 2 minutes off my day lap time. Good times.
I have a profound respect for solo riders. Those guys and gals are crazy. I dont know how many laps the guy did...but...he rode the whole race on a Surly cross...700c...drop bars...single speed! The guy was an absolute animal. There was also a guy on a BMX with suspenion forks on it. Out for fun and not competition....smiling the whole time. I am already looking forward to next year. |
