Agree on the knife issue. I also like Kitchen Stuff Plus for home needs. Good prices and good knives. If I had money to burn

Only $165 right now, a savings of $120.

jeremywhitehorn: do you put any time in at Siegfrieds? I'm there next Wednesday night for some Tech school thing. Let me know if you're around and I'll swing by early.

STEEKER 11-08-06 04:05 PM

that looks sweet and thats what I want a nice straight chain line without a tensioner ::::::::::::::: I was in Urbanes today looking at the Bianchi Bikes $800 for a chrome Pista

Offhoff 11-08-06 04:08 PM

Nice pyze looks like quite the winter warrior you have there. I'm thinking about switching over to cruiser bars on my singulated MTB for the winter. You sure its not the boyz whistling at your steeker??? ;-)

Horizontal dropouts with a half link. Its a IRO cog and I was able to thread a b/b lockring on before the cog. give a perfect line and makes it easier to remove the cog.

Wow, an American trucker from Detroit pulled a gun. What a surprise.

Does the threat exist? Sure, but I used to live in the murder capital of the world I have no fear in toronto especially in the downtown core where I do 99% of my riding. Scare mongering is lame.

hey meng, wasn't trying to point fingers at anyone and definitely wasn't trying to scare monger. i just don't want the 0.00001% of the time that a gun is pulled, is on someone on this board.. or heck, is on anyone on a bike. dude, i don't care about telling you what to do. just be careful out there is all.
gonna pick me up a zyliss now...

Offhoff 11-08-06 04:47 PM

Sorry Goki I jumped on that hard. Work is being...frustrating today. Zyliss garlic presses are great though. No one wants to ride tonight? Last warm night it looks like come on someone's gotta want to fly through downtown...

operator 11-08-06 04:52 PM

Tomorrow is 15 deg high full sunshine, same with Friday high 12.

Time and place? I might be free.

Whats the big thing with garlic presses? I've never owned one and never use one in a kitchen. I just smash the garlic with a meat tenderizer and then chop it as needed. Usually I leave the whole crushed clove as is.

STEEKER 11-08-06 04:58 PM

I love slow cooked garlic cloves in a wine sauce hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Offhoff 11-08-06 04:59 PM

Ops nice good to see the weather good for the next two days, Good night riding. I'm heading from the annex and returning too the annex but I'm not sure when I'm leaving I'm off work at 8 but I have to get home eat something, prepare for discussion on the topic of safety and then leave so I'd say 9:30 would be the earliest. I'm not doing anything hardcore probably just a run across to woodbine down the queen and back across or something. Not sure up to suggestions

cavernmech 11-08-06 05:00 PM

I have been party to an incident involving a raging motorist, a cyclist and a firearm. Here in Toronto. With the driver being a Toronto citizen. It happens. You can't dictate your emotions/responses based on the possibility. However being aware that it does happen cant hurt.

Meet at bikechain.

P.S The Game - this is the most manipulative text i've seen in a while.

Offhoff 11-08-06 05:37 PM

You think that's manipulative? You should read grinder, there are serious flaws that are left in for those who don't do other reading. Him and mystery are hilarious together, we should try the pez dispensers on bikes, its *so much fun* and the cube is the single greatest invention ever.

Shiznaz 11-08-06 05:43 PM

I though you were talking about that michael douglas and sean penn movie and I was like "yeah they totally manipulated him to the extreme, but why bring it up?" and then I remembered that book was mentioned earlier. Hi my name is Mystery! DUR!

Offhoff 11-08-06 05:45 PM

A peek into the mind of shiznaz...be afraid, be very afraid...

LOVE the santoku knife. I have 2 right now, one for home and one for work. Cheap henkels from Winners of all places. The perfect knife for me.

Actually that was a pretty awesome movie until I realized after the credits rolled that it had absolutely zero replay value.

The key is to watch it every 5 years when you're really really safe.

It's all about the full tang knife with the wooden handle.
Obviously the steel has to be nice.

I've got a chipped Henkel that my grandmother was
nolonger using because the handle was broken.

I rebound the handle with twine and brought it back to life with a sharpening stone.

It cuts tomatoes with it's own weight.

REUSE FTW!
