My...A--didas...

walk through concert doors
and roam all over coliseum floors
I stepped on stage, at Live Aid
All the people gave an applause that paid
And out of speakers I did speak
I wore my sneakers but I'm not a sneak
My Adidas cuts the sand of a foreign land
with mic in hand I cold took command
my Adidas and me both askin P
we make a good team my Adidas and me
we get around together, rhyme forever
and we won't be mad when worn in bad weather

I still have the fork that was on my cross bike last year....straight blade but will take a fender. I will check on the length. Front wheels I have virtually nothing left used. Rear wheels I have a cassette wheel that is in decent shape. I also have "The Wheel Shamil Stripped" its a flip-flop but the lockring thread is knackered...other than that it is o.k.....the freewheel threads are untouched.

yeah.. no contact just "excitement". I love looking back and seeing the person getting of their suv looking like they're TOTALLY unaware that they nearly seriously injured someone. I was too shocked to yell.. by the time I recovered from full subconcious-acts "save my ass" mode I was already 100' away.

ps. traffic jammer: no matter how many times I read your sig, it still puts a smile on my face.

Well if it makes you smile....my job is done here. Glad you merely got your cardio up on the way in.
I'm sooo happy to be back on my Time pedals, a little more muckin' to find the right cleat spot. Makes riding so much better, I swear the arches of my feet were starting to hurt in my runners.

They're restless today guys....careful. I almost leveled a bread delivery guy on Bloor this morning. He stepped out from between two trucks with a double arm load of bread stacked up past his head. It was really tight, had to do one of those courier style lane changes between two closely spaced cars. I think my shoulder brushed a loaf. Good times.

My God! I was wondering why people were wearing jeans today... I was thinking "Hey its not Friday, whats the deal??" Then I stopped thinking about it. Then I started thinking how brutal coming in to work tomorrow will be. Then I saw more people in jeans, and started thinking again. So I checked the calendar on the computer and lo-and-behold --- FRIDAY!!!! I wish this happened every week. Its like I feel like I'm getting a free day off tomorrow. To be spent TRACK RACING!

I still haven't eaten breakfast yet though.

edit: Hey Oscar!!!! Whats up buddy? Last time I saw you I was in my work clothes on Front street outside of the hummingbird centre. You were walking your bike. We had a brief chat and it was the most brutally hot day of the summer. Good to see you online again

I was biking last night to a friend's house on Carleton, just east of Parliament and these joggers would not get out of my way (they were taking up the whole road) after I honked my airzound 3 times, and politely said excuse me! I think I should've run them over or something - I actually might've gotten a response. But in the end, I just sighed and biked past them.

Yelling God is Great isn't really a reason to be beaten up by muslims or non muslims... I regularly say it to the guy I buy falafels from on bloor (he loves it) and I always greet/say goodbye to him as salumu alaykum/wa alaykum as salam. Muslim law forbids him to give me a full greeting in return (I'm an infidel after all) so he'll usually respond with various parts of the greeting. He will always rock the takbir back to me though.

this isn't really a close call.. was riding home east on king last night at dusk.. i passed a pretty dirty looking guy on a bike coming at me and zig-zagging like crazy. i yelled at him as he went by and at the same time, the dude lets out this deep gutteral moan that sounded exactly like dan akroyd in trading places (drunk santa scene, staggering down the hall away from eddie murphy)... had me laughing all the way home.
