I couldn't tell what direction the wind was coming from tonight.. but I took little residential side streets North of Bloor the whole way home, which definitely helped!

yeah a 15% grade isn't an exaggeration; your right that's the worst part, it does flatten out a bit then kick up at the end which i always found a bit tough on the ego.
on another note, there are other real hills around if you feel like leaving the city a little. bell school line (north west of mississagua) is notorious for being a "walker" as is pumpkin hill (past the holland marsh west of 400).

I've passed by that place a million times but I've never gone in. I've never heard a review one way or another either. I used to live on Sorauren, so I'm a Mitzy's dude.

for anyone eastside, you should really make an effort to check out "GRACE'S" on the southwest corner of eastern/carlaw for the old skool food scene and hanging out with the 'regulars'. i think almost everything is under $3, like grilled cheese/fried egg/etc. sandwiches for around $2. the woman who owns it is so kind and awesome, too! go there. now!

Green Room!!! But not when you'd think! They've got a 3$ breakfast there that's just awsome!!! 3$ for two eggs, fries, toast, bacon, and a salad! Definitely the finest breakfast place in my opinion. Watch out though, during the summer white russians turned me and a couple friends 20$ breakfast into a 180$ breakfast/all day drunkfest... so you've been warned

Saigon Palace..... Spadina just below College. mmm good Vietnamese.
Gio Rana's Really Really Good Restaurant. NW corner of Queen/Leslie.
Famous restauranteur .."the nose" from Amex commercials. the nose has been added to the nameless signage of this old bank of Montreal branch. Laid back ....damned good food, good prices(though not dirt cheap), plates are made for ordering lots of things and sharing around the table. Awesome good times had there with a few friends. Not the place for a friday night messenger piss up though.
DAmn not reading properly..... pubs..opps sorry guys.

Yeah, I think it'd be hard to find someone who doesn't have the green room on the list... I just recently discovered the breakfast though and now it's a whole new green room for me :-). I'm living in ottawa for school right now so I'm gonna have to start taking notes too. I've pretty much just stayed in the annex during my brief trips back home, so I'll leave the "hip" hangouts to those still living there :-)

Montreal definitely does have great and cheap places for eatin and drinkin! The last time I was there my friends took my on a great gastronomic tour.
Related Question #1: Anyone doing anything fun and exciting this weekend? My schedule is a mostly blank canvas (hence my original question).

Addis Ababa Restaurant 1184 Queen St W.
Eithiopian food. Good. Very good. Get the mixed vegetarian platter.

hey guys!!
I swear I am going to hang around here more regularly! How are things going? I haven't popped in here since New Years day. I switched to working afternoons at my "DAY" job 6pm-2am and getting used to the schedule has kinda wiped me out for a few weeks.
But I am really hungry and want pork buns..LOTS of pork buns..so if anyone is going on early afternoon bun runs I'm in
JEREMY! Awesome to see you on the board too!
Anyways, I hope everyone is doing well!!
