Rob I am severly disheartened at your instant shut down of said post. You have not been attending your Single Man Seminars TM have you? What if it's really a girl? A real live girl that understands and shares a passion for cycling...are you youngins so anti-romance as to pass up what might be something wonderful....or at least fun for a while.

[QUOTE=somnambulant]Thanks for the advice guys.. The ribs actually feel a bunch better again today, so I think I was right in my theory of just sleeping weird on Monday night. I'm going to take Keith's advice and if they're still bothering me after this weekend I'll make an appt with my doctor.
QUOTE] Speaking of sore ribs. a quick story. I had a pain just under my right rib cage that kept getting worse. So i look on the old interweb OMG my appendix is gonna blow up. I go to the hospital 4 hours later your fine go home it'll go away! And is slowly. Which is great news, but not sure how I did this. Cheers |

i can't get enough of their espresso. speaking of which, here's my new object of desire: http://www.fairfaxcookshop.com/image...uropiccola.jpg |
you and me both, I've been ghosting La Pavoni's on ebay for the last four months. The last one went for $345 with about $150 worth of sniping in the last ten seconds.... The pros go for a fair bit more. Still a good deal of retail ~900, but too rich for my poor blood.

The place Kim and I stayed in Berlin last year had an amazing lever operated espresso machine with a pressure gauge and such. I wanted to use it so bad, but I had no clue how to use it properly plus it was a friend's friend's place that we were crashing in while she was out of the city and I didn't want to blow the place up or anything. ;) I'm planning on investing in a good grinder before a good espresso machine however (perhaps one of these), although I don't see any major coffee-related purchases coming up. I just bought me a new bass. :P |
BTW - Wes, i haven't seen Re Load's for sale in toronto. Are the distrubuted in canada? Cavern would probably know...

the people at tap phong sell something like it; i think they go for $10. i've been meaning to pick one for a while. it appears to have a burr grinder inside. might even do a better job than my canadian tire blade grinder.
|
Burr grinders are far superiorlicious. Zassenhaus grinders (like the one pictured) are hard to come by new have a great reputation and are made by gnomes in the Black Forest. You can adjust the grind very easily. I have one I got off ebay for around $60.
http://www.sweetmarias.com/prod.zas.shtml I would hesitate to buy a $10 grinder. For herbs maybe, but I'm not sure it would be up to a Zassenhaus. |
I'm going to do laps around the CNE now, if anyone wants to join me. I'll be there until 10 and then we can go for beer afterwards. I ride clockwise, so come find me on my naked chrome Pista.
All you kids sitting at home not riding in this rediculous weather are fools. FOOLS, I say! |

More importantly, MINI BIKE RACES tomorrow night! Christ, am I the only one who appreciates the comedy of grown men and women racing on what basically amounts to clown bikes? And add to that liberal amounts of alcohol ... it's a recipe for sucess AND disaster.

HEy Charlie, can you post up a pic of your cyclops.
Mitch was just telling me that he remembers it being "pretty sweet". I would like to see it. |
