You gotta ask him about it. That sounded funnier in my head. |

I knew he was special when he spent 15 minutes with me digging through piles of tires so that we could find a 25 dollar set he took off a complete bike a few months earlier. I was about to give up before him, but he kept looking and found them. He definitely has his work cut out for him down in that basement.

I could get a fix all done from Cyclemania for that price, or try Cavern, I think Keith has a fuji in my size for $500. I love the Wheeler, a great ride and I've put lots of work into getting it set up as a bombproof s/s, but it would also be nice to have a bike I can ride and not worry about which part needs fixing or replacing.
Help. The fuji looks ok, great out the door price & ready to go. Add parts later down the line as needed. The e-bay bikes by the time it gets here it would be over 5 bills. Keep an eye on c/l but by the time you see one you like your money will be long gone. I also remember cyclemania Danforth having budget fixies. But take a look at urbane for there brand & the KHS 100 witch is great. Cheers Always remember Two is better then one. |

Help. You can always go the eBay route and get a nice deal on a used bike too, many of us have done that without too many problems. I've checked out the Cyclemania bikes and they are a good price but I thought they looked a bit sketchy, particularly the geometry, which seemed pretty roadish to me. Keep your eyes glued to CL, obviously, some stuff comes up now and then. |
First thing I did was check e-bay. Not much on right now, and after dollar conversion, shipping and customs, cost the same to buy something here. And CL hasn't had much my size recently, or ever really. I am leaning to getting a good 135mm hub, fixing the mtb. Would be easy, has horizontal drops, and with the double chainring crank and the 2 b/b's I have, getting a perfect chainline would be easy.

i would say try getting a decent used road frame for cheap (ebay is good for this, or ask keith what he has in the basement) and spend your money on wheels. keep in mind that with those off the peg track bikes, the builders usually skimp on things like headsets and bottom brackets so they may wear out faster, even if they are new.

Mini bikes = good fun. Me = drunk.
