Thank-you.:)

I have a Canon powershot A95 which is also a 5mpxl camera like yours, not too fancy.

I put mine into manual ( I don't know if your camera has a manual setting though ).

Form there I can mess with all the settings, shutter speed, f-stop, iso.

I also use a tripod, for the pic with the tree in it, it was a 2.5 second exposure, without the tripod it'd just be a blury mess.

Jeremy: you done work now? Seems strange to see a post from you at that hour on a Sunday. :)

i was just on my way out the door as i wrote that post. the sale of the restaurant got pushed back one more week, so i'll be working next weekend (save for sunday, when i go out to the woods and chop down a xmas tree with my family a la 'a griswald family xmas') and then that's it until i can find work. i promise i'll be up for coffee and riding after that.

hahaha.. classic. I miss doing that. Are you just going to do it in High Park? ;)

ps. y'alls are all talk and no action, but I had a good ride/espresso despite it.

I went on a ride. I got a frame pack like martino that I was testing out and it works well (although cutoff shorts rub against it). Now I don't have to carry anything on my body except for my clothes, which is nice for long distance comfort.

Today was the first real sort of cold day we have had. I think I was dressed well as I was alternately a little bit too hot or cold during parts of my ride but most of the time I was at a perfect temperature. On my top I had a sleeveless bike jersey, arm warmers, long sleeve bike jersey, mid weight bike jersey/jacket and commuter jacket, and down below I had bike shorts, my LG winter pants and my cutoff shorts and on my feet wool ski socks, SIDI genius and neoprene booties. I started the ride with a fleece balaclava but I got too hot when I was doing the little trails on the spit so I took it off and unzipped my jacket, but once I got back on the road I started to get cold again so I was glad I brought everything with me. Also some of those little chemical hand warmers came in handy today for my toes between my shoes and neoprene booties.

I've also dorked out my helmet with 2 little rear blinkies and one little front blinkie, and upgraded my rear bike mounted blinkie to this ridiculously bright one from MEC. All the little kids think I look fun now!

no we actually drive out to the sticks and make a day of it. i could chop one down in high park; might be some legal reprecussions. i don't actually put up a tree at home anyway, i just go along for the ride.

i'm still kicking around in my jeans, sneakers and wool sweaters. the kids do not think i'm cool.

PS - i've done that thing with the blinkies on the helmet, and kidding aside it is a really effective way to get noticed as the lights sit up nice and high.

As I predicted, and shapelike witnessed it, the Elvish frame is a 54. It's still available for anyone who's interested.

Very tempted, but gave Shapelike all my pocket cash today. Should be running fixed next weekend.

What's the spacing?

pyze-guy 12-03-06 10:25 PM

Excellent. Time for the first snow ride of the year. Should be fun.

i believe 120, stamped dropouts, nothing high end. fork spacing is 90mm, just to make it interesting.

Already done. Too damn cold.

Did the donut ride earlier today and I really wasn't expecting snow. Going north on Keele, my back wheel was spinning out on the hills b/c the road was covered with snow. Then again, across VanDorf sideroad, the group just slowed right down b/c it was so snowy yet so beautifual at the same time. Cold ride, but super fun. My fixie is totally caked in grime now.

That's a pretty nice frame, and tiny too.
