MTB 26" fixed would kind of be fun.

Gearing it super low for Fixed trials..

It's not too common. We need to put together a T.O. fixed MTB crew, and hit the Don Valley trails. That's some hilly stuff on my geared coasting MTB. Fixed would be freakish excitement.

I think I'm just going to get a Surly 135mm hub, and lace it to some Mavic 26". Something not too expensive. Though my bike lust says "get the Phills!".

Some of the downhills in there would be tricky... unless you could lock the back and keep it from coming around. It would be fun to try though :)

i think streetcar tracks claim their victims in pairs. wiped out at king/parliament last night but managed to hop free as my bike went skidding through the intersection. no damage to the bike. i spent 20 minutes looking for my damn light before a nice(!) cabbie told me it was halfway down the block in the opposite direction. no idea how that happened. i could've sworn it was ground into powder by all the streetcars that passed.
hey op, i'll need the nishiki back soon for winter..trying to arrange to get you some wheels so you can ride it down.

Which is why I'd only ride a fixed mtb on the street. Too much eco-damage potential with a fixed mtb.

No worries goki. I'm bringing it down on Sat. Where should I drop it off? I could also bring it down to bikechain tomorrow.

I should have my fixed 26" on Sat or Sun. Having it built with a surly 135mm fixed hub. Hub was $75 I think, and Mike (Shapelike) is building it when it all arives. Can't wait.

I hear that. I haven't been in there in a couple of years cause it started to get WAY to busy... and the trails were showing it.

Every once in a while, if I go to the fixed forum, and I DON'T see 'TORONTO Fixed' on the first page, I get agitated and a bit anxious. This is merely an attempt to bring it back to page one.

You can thank me later ;)

It may have happened since you were last on, but we've been moved to Rides and Races (and still typically show up!). on our fixed gears

The don is still quality, just not around this time of year because it's just muddy and you slip all over the place.

We are eroding a fragile, isolated and overstressed watershed. lol sux2bdon~

a-whaaaa? I had no idea. That's a little weird.

You don't check BF for months on end, and look what happens. I'll have to get used to this new way of life...I guess.

remember we were talking about the blinged out cervelo that wes and i spotted at I deal a while ago? i just remembered i snapped a photo of it with its high tech locking system.

Is that the aluminum Cervélo Soloist?

What does the guy who owns it look like?

i do believe it is the aluminum soloist. from what i remember he is a skinny guy, cropped brown hair, black knikers and jacket, no helmet / glasses, white shoes. he is at i deal every time i'm there.

This is effort that I don't feel like producing since I'd need a ladder to get on the bike if it was complete.
A little heat would probably do it.

To tell you the truth, it's not even that nice. The BB shell is welded really ass.
The seam is all sloppy. But then again, maybe all BB's were ass welded in the 60's.
BTW. .it's an ITalian BB 70mm.

I'll take some pics tonight. See if you guys really want it.
I'd like to give it to a REALLY TALL person. Cuz that's what it's for.

If you three are tall then you can flip a three sided coin to see who gets it.
I don't like playing favorites.

It produces this rivalry between Toronto BF buddies..
"Things like outdressing each other."

Which emails are whose?
I've got a list of 12 or so people so far.

I'll drop out of the running. It sounds like a fun project but I have a pink Bianchi headed my way, so I'll be occupied with that for awhile. If no really tall person wants it, I will take it as I can use it, just not right away.

ROFL did he really leave it like that?

Mmm ... Spot bikes are pretty. Anyone heard any strong opinions on those either way? They seem to know their **** and support a lot of races in the states.

I only know them from the interweb, but I agree.. They're pretty hot. I love their chain tensioners too. :)
