HAHA you said MATLAB

Lymbzero: If MATLAB was a person, I would walk up to him and kick him in the balls.

Shiznaz: where do you live? North of Bloor? I remember you continuing on that time we met. I haven't noticed the noisy neighbours, maybe the sketch Coffee Time across from me is absorbing their party animal vibes.

Jet Sanchez: The Gardin has sadly been cannibalized for other purposes, but I am working on rebuilding it as an SS. I was going to get rid of it, but the frame is just too awesome for me to let go. That and it's the only bike I've got with full fenders. Wish it was up and running right now!

Everybody else: Hi everybody!

jet sanchEz 01-18-07 02:43 PM

Yeah, full fenders really make a difference, don't they? I have been riding a Miele SS that I built for a friend and it has eyelets for fenders and I am bone-dry no matter how messy and gnarly it gets out there. I will miss this little bike when it's owner finally comes for it.

Full fenders kick ass. I rode the mtb last night for some fun in the snow, forgot about the lack of fenders. Nice and dirty when I got in.

You have probably heard our noisy neighbours at around 8am, 10am and 11am every sunday, and more recently you would have heard them at all hours of the night for the whole week. The Urkainian Orthodox Catholic Church of The Holy Protection. They seriously need a new electronically controlled bell ringing playlist. We live in what used to be the chuch rectory for 40 years, so there are bleached on crucifix marks on the cabinets and we get crazy church mail from all over. Ocasionally some old ladies are convinced that we are still the rectory and it takes ages to get them to go away. We even get people coming to us for charity from the church.

TRaffic Jammer 01-18-07 03:22 PM

Time to answer the door...in PVC lederhosen, with a handheld videocam and the sounds ...somethin' in the background. Last time you will ever be disturbed I assure you. You will never ever see old ladies move faster.

32flavours 01-18-07 03:43 PM

Wait... is that the church that looks like Disneyland?

Shiznaz 01-18-07 03:52 PM

It sure is!

Yours truly is goign to Amgen tour, all expenses paid! Tovi I need to talk to you about that. Check your hotmail.

Wish my Fetish had a decent set of fenders on it. The rear one does ok, but the front still sprays a little. My coat used to be oh so clean.

My Freitag bag ends up picking up the slack, spray wise.

Shiznaz 01-18-07 04:58 PM

Oh man... I freaking hate summarizing contracts and regulational acts. I feel like my head is about to explode. The tip just fell off my hi-liter. I got given a 50 page act to summarize at 4:30PM 'For tomorrow morning'. THANKS!

What are they sending you to a bike race for op? Competing?

I see at Fetish every now and again when I’m out walking the dog in the morning. Gwynn & King. That you robin?

I just put fenders in my IRO after riding the Stumpy into work on Monday. I prefer the fix in the muck. More control and way fun.

I heard rumblings earlier of people perhaps making the trek south for Monstertrack. Is anyone still doing that?

And finally, what’s everyone’s preferred method of keeping your feet warm and dry? I’ve been using LG Feet Warmers (http://www.louisgarneau.com/eng/cata...yle_no=1083010) this season and they’ve been great until just recently when the underside of the “reinforced” toe cap has totally disintegrated which makes them roll off your toes after just a short walk. And now they’re rolling off while riding.

Fin.

They have parties at annoying hours every week and their guests park their cars in front of our driveway, on our driveway, on our lawn etc. Terrible music too. Like, really really bad.

Canister of CS gas through the window should clear them out pretty fast :)

Hey! Nice to see you back.

Operator: I dropped that big book off for you. You know, the one with the pictures.

Pyze: It looks like the 14cm fork will work. I can drop the other one off for you whenever (Tim Hortons???? I should get the La Pavoni back from Faema shortly, so we'll fix that).

32flavours 01-18-07 07:25 PM

Whoa, was that picture always there? Before when I was looking at it from school, it was a picture of a stick-girl. Which is why I didn't realize you were talking about the Disney-church.

Also, MATLAB-sticles are much easier to kick that MATLABoobies, hence I chose the male personification.

i used to go through a pair of those about once a winter until i got sick of spending the $20 and now i stick plastic bags inside my shoes. i like the design of those though; if anyone comes across something similar that is better constructed by all means let me know.

cavit8 01-18-07 09:47 PM

If I'm wearing sandals (which is usuall), a pair of wicking socks, woolies then neoprene socks is fine for the duration of my commute. I have another set of booties I can put over top or layer up more socks for greater wicking/warmth action... My mtb shoes are freezing but that's because they're a little snug.

tovi 01-18-07 09:49 PM

operator, I'm home now. Call until 1AM-ish. 416-783-0818 If you're coming to California, that's WICKED!

Sunday is best for me. Anytime/place is good.

I doubt it. I'm mostly parked around the Bloor Street Strip. Is there another genius out there with this hot ass ride? I would like to meet the sucker, I bet he/she has good taste.

DrBenway 01-19-07 06:59 AM

@jeremywhitehorn: Funny I was actually thinking of simply ditching out to the plastic bags. It's true the design overall is pretty good it's really just that one issue.

@cativ8: Yeah part of my problem is that I'm wearing my 8 year old Specialized mtb shoes. Very drafty and the wet can get in around the cleat mount, etc. Hoping to solve that prob at the bike show.

@sirrobin: Ahh. I've definitely seen it there. It certainly gets the blood pumping during that morning walk seeing some sweet action roll down that street. Happens quite a bit on that street actually. I would be shocked if at least some of them weren't on here.

yeah i know they're re-enforced at the toe, but still not made for walking IMO. i've tried duct taping them and everything, they still wear out.
