I wonder when the first person will get locked in one?

PS. they are a bit of an eyesore. They could be been more creative with the design and clad them in fine anthracite marble.

I'm not sure if you could actually live inside one.. it's not a square like the outside of the locker looks.
It's more like a triangle. Each box is divided into halves diagonally. The floor is concrete and really cold.

What are those people doing cruising around the outside? Are they part of the teams too?
I had no idea that one could go that fast.
The video of you guys doing track 1 was like super lame-O in comparison.

Holy schnitzel that is fast! I'm off to Mt. Tremblant for the weekend. Later sk8rs

First one to come up with the correct/most amusing answers can have the frame.

I'll take a shot:
A)I have an Italian BB here on my desk, believe it or not, and it says 36X24F on it. I think that is the type of threading but most people just call it reverse threading ie: you have to use blue loctite on it. My Ciocc originally came with a BB that had been put on with red loctite and damn, that sucker was hard to take off.
B)It also says 70Nm on it. I guess this is Italian for 70cm ;)
C)I made this yesterday----gnochhi with pesto and hot Italian sausage. Damn, it is good but I don't recall the Italian name for it, maybe it is Gnocci Arabiata? I basically just cut up a lot of garlic and onion and add some store-bought pesto to a couple of sausages sliced up and then throw it all on top of some gnocchi. It is a simple and light dish, really good comfort food, y'know?

Were you able to get the seatpost out? Is it really a 60cm frame? I ride a 60 right now and it looks smaller than that, weird.

Arrabiatta means angry hot, or angry spicy. Made with tomato sauce. Pesto and sausage is excellent.

i rented one of these out at bloor and spadina. i'm living in richmond hill, and if i didn't have it, i would never have ridden at all. it's a great program to encourage people to commute whole or part of the way. only detriment is that when the weather gets wet AND cold, the lock freezes. that, and i lost my key (with a $90 replacement), but that was my fault. when i finally got someone to open it up for me a week later, my scarf/spare clothes inside were mildewy-smelling.

life savers. two thumbs up. never any threat of bike theft or sketchiness.

Okay, I will henceforth dub my dish Gnocchi a la Bottocchia :)

Coolio, good to know that they are being used for their intended purpose.

jet sanchEz 01-17-07 11:51 PM

Whoops, double post.

Maybe Gnocchiocchia would be better?

I want to make this thing fair... so skill testing question comes to mind.

1) I believe cross stitch threading such as:
http://i21.ebayimg.com/07/i/000/82/5b/8b7a_1_b.JPG

2) Well most bb I've stayed at are normal sized homes, but some places in Italy are smaller, so I'll go with about 1600 square feet.

3) There isn't enough time on earth to discuss that with a classically trained Itailian chef. But Spag and Meatballs is right up there. Or else Piccata di Vitello al Prezzemolo. Sexy goodness.

Ya, it was me ... full of rage'o'hol. And Keith, don't fret too much. I blew up those shoes a few days ago so they're duct taped on right now until I RA them. I've still got my 3 year old "holy" sneakers to get me through the days.

TRaffic Jammer 01-18-07 08:54 AM

I saw you, Pyze-guy at a Timmy's? on Danforth and Logan last night as I was cabbing to the vet with my dog. You lose 2 coffee snob points. I can't imagine being able to lock yourself into a locker vis-a-vis 10 buck for a roof. Locking someone in.....sadly it's only a matter of time I think. I don't think I'd mind going wicked fast, as long as I was able...they're only other bikers and a track...compared to whipping around cars it's practically fluffy. The "tagging and releasing" of the team mate does give me pause. That isn't a skill I can say there is a comparable street version. Damned fast though.....wooohooo.

shapelike 01-18-07 09:04 AM

... and the whole, "slingshot your teammate forward" bit ... not too sure how I feel about that at top speed.

shapelike 01-18-07 09:05 AM

Keith, en route w/ your Power Grips. If you're not there by the time I get there, I'll leave them with a local bobo for safe keeping.

TRaffic Jammer 01-18-07 09:28 AM

ah a little slinging practice and we'll be doing it to thread the lanes on Yogne street.

Saying a quiet thank-you to my gears that have served my well over the years.
I know many question the wiseness of filth, but here's the equation. Bought the bike for 600bux 6 years ago..7? I have bought a couple tyres, never more than 15$, and some brake pads, I haven't paid for anything else, cept new shoes..but that was a 12year old cleat requiring changing. My wheels have the conical rubber housing on them as opposed to flat ... these things are awesome... as I'm having the hubs broken open for the first time. I know it's waaaay late, and I would have done it had I had the tools, but I don't. The wheels, while slightly woobily in the hub (this being the main reason for breaking them open), still roll well. I have finally ridden the drivetrain into the ground, worn the shifters down to nubs, and stretched the cables beyond functional tolerances.

While i'm not messing anymore, I'm amazed it has lasted this long without colossal failure before this with daily use. To my bike.....thank-you very much and may we enjoy our new future as a single speed.

The coffee time is too far away.

You can't smoke in Timmies though!

HI EVERYBODY! HUGZ ALL AROUND! I <3 BIKES!

Nothing like breaking my silence with a totally useless post driven by procrastination and frustration at MATLAB.

You live like half a block away from me!

You probably already know our noisy next door neighbours:
http://www.boldts.net/photos/UkrainianChurch.jpeg
They have parties at annoying hours every week and their guests park their cars in front of our driveway, on our driveway, on our lawn etc. Terrible music too. Like, really really bad.

Can't smoke anywhere. Except the Windsor casino it seems. Slowly quiting anways.

Shiznaz 01-18-07 11:10 AM

I am 100% sure I have seen people smoking in the coffee time aquarium at bloor and carling... Coffee times are so sketchy I doubt they pay much attention to 'rules' and such.

Last time I went into a coffee time smoke room was when I lived on Shaw and went tothe one near Bloor/Ossington. Nasty. Old crusty people smoking Rothmans and Export green. I'd rather stand outside and be a social outcast.
