Offhoff.... any chance of scoring a dvd of some raw biking footage..... I'd love to try my hand and some editting. I've got the mac SW but haven;t any video to play with. Strictly for educational purposes, of course.....copyright offhoff INC!
I can, problem is space. I can dump a bunch of DV stuff to a DVD but the HD stuff you'd have to bring a portable HD.

Just got back from a mountain bike ride in the Don. What a difference a couple of weeks makes! It's all dry and fun now. Also much busier

Wtf happened?
The viva bus driver kicked me off and I was way not sober enough to ride high speed up yonge st. and beat the bus for 10 kms. But that's what happened and then I gave him the finger.

The thrown chain didn't help. Crashing into the milk crates to stop was kind of funny.

Shiz, you were right about the skid part of the Ontario Highway Traffic Act

Brakes on bicycle
(3) No person shall ride a bicycle on a highway unless it is equipped with at least one brake system acting on the rear wheel that will enable the rider to make the braked wheel skid on dry, level and clean pavement. R.S.O. 1990, c. H.8, s. 64 (3).

Yeah, as kids, the police officers who taught us traffic safety in school always said that we had to have a brake a bell and a light or we would get in trouble. I've heard that the cops hand out tickets if you don't have a bell, anyone ever been tagged for that?

Yup. Got written up as "no horn" when in reality I made a right turn on red. When you get stopped by police you'll get nailed by everything - I think darkmother experienced this as well when in his words "I didn't kiss his ass". I think this was like last year or something.

yes.. otherwise known as the No-bell Prize.

Darkmother got absolutely owned by that cop! I think it was several hundred dollars worth of fines.

i've been tagged for "inadequate lighting" in broad daylight (after running a red light).
