Keith gets in beginner because he is fat and out of shape. I will race my sport age group later in the season when I can actually do the full distance without the paramedics having to be called. That and I have wrenching responsibilities at the races so I get my riding out of the way in the first group of the day..then tune bikes and ring cowbells for the rest of the day. Swatty is a great official.

Everyone watch for me and Duppy at the Raps game tonight! WOO WHO!!! Shammy rocks!!

I would but seeing my stomach will do nothing for the ratings, let alone the poor folks at home that have to look at such a hideous sight. There are decency rules on the tee-vee don't cha know.

And I emailed buddy about the 50 bikes. I'll keep everyone tuned as to what's up with that.

I just read an article that Steve Balmer, CEO of Microsoft is certain that the iPhone will fail. People don't want a closed system, they are much better off using something with the Windows phone system on it.

But, he was right on the Zune!

My favourite quote: "I'll bet our ads will be less edgy. But my 85-year-old uncle probably will never own an iPod, and I hope we'll get him to own a Zune."

I'm of the mind that the iPhone is indeed doomed. Too $$, closed to one network in a take-your-number world, too much crap on a single device...lose/break and you are eff'd. to a Windows phone system ... I shudder to think.

The phone is expensive, no doubt about that. But, it takes the place of an ipod, so that's $250 of the price. Is the phone closed to one system? Yes, but it seems many phones that rogers sells are GSM only, even though Bell might have the same phone for their network. That said, I don't know much about phone technology.

Will the iphone be successful? It depends what it means to be successful. It will be sold out for months and they'll make huge money on it. Will it be as popular as a Razor? No. But it will be pretty big, I think.
