And I emailed buddy about the 50 bikes. I'll keep everyone tuned as to what's up with that.

Not closed to one network..... by auction it is available exclusively to only one. So they'll have made their money twice. Brilliant AND irritating in that regard. A phone as an Ipod.. well we'll see how it plays out...if the life cycle of ppl's ipods are any indication, then this is one expensive toy. I can see phones being finally allowed to go from one network to another now that # portability is in effect.

I'd at least wait until the next gen versions come out because I bet alot of people will end up with lemons, if major electronics realeases in the past are any indication. Or just wait for a GSM non-apple alternative available for less.

Apple mania which now extends to non-designer ppl dictates you line up over night to be able to claim first-ies on the block. (even if only for a couple hours) I have received ad material in versions of software that were still in Beta. Take a bite out of the Apple...you know you must.

My first gen iPod is still kickin'! Mind you, I don't use it anymore, but the batteries still last just as long as my 30gb iPod Video.

Also: the amount/variety of food you get for lunch at japanese places for 5.99 makes me happy.

/me unbuttons pants.

I pretty much only listen to it in the car or at work anyhow... so plugging it in isn't really a big deal. I dropped it when it was fairly new and the disc doesn't spin so great anymore (makes a nice humming noise) I think that's the real problem behind the short battery life.

I got a battery kit from evil bay for my 3rd gen & DIY'ed it, big improvement. However months later i crushed it between my hip & the curb that sucked.
I now have a hard case for my new one & don’t clip it to my belt when riding!

I'll most likely get an iPhone after a couple of generations so they can work out the bugs and put a hard drive in it.

There's not nearly enough memory on the ones in production for a decent selection of music.

It's Emory's and she is ultra bummed. There are only 2 sets of those in Toronto so it will in all likelihood turn up at some point. If anyone out there spots it grab it and pound the thief that pretends to own it. A six pack and eternal gratitude for the lucky re-possessor.

I'll up the prize ante... an official, non-replica, peg leg.

Bikes: A bunch

Just had a nice collision with a car.

Riding eastbound going around 30-35 km/h on Dundas in the bike lane and a guy zips out from a side street and cuts me off and slams on his brakes.

So as he's slowing down right in front of me I'm trying to slow down to cut around the front of his car and my leg clips the front bumper and takes the license plate right off and I go down .

I kind of skidded along the ground on my a$$ and got a bit of road rash on my right calf, so i got up check over my self and check my bike, everything is working normally, the driver was nice about it and didn't care about his license plate, I got all his info, name, phone number, license plate, etc.

What a rush.
