Isn't Mike Barry owner of Mariposa, not Marinoni? https://www.mariposabicycles.com/
edit: just realized that both marinoni and mariposa were mentioned on this page... maybe it was just me that was confused.
edit^2: I like the bike Mike made for Dede. Gotta love the 6-pack rack on the front (though it should be the euro style that's mounted to the headtube, not the fork)..

i rode back to parkdale from mississagua today and got lost in the waterfront trail and ended up somewhere in etobicoke. and i forgot my helmet so it was extra scary with the truck roaring by. on a bike related note i stopped into Gears bike shop on the way home and boy is it fancy-scmancy. something about seeing a ROW of $6000 specialized cross bikes makes the heart weep. they're displaying the gerolsteiner roubaix hanging from a scale and it hefts in at a hair over 16lbs for the WHOLE bike. what a tank.

So I'm picking these up on Friday https://toronto.craigslist.org/bik/334286396.html and want to put my old frame together in a singlespeed fashion. Anyone know of any cheap square tapered cranks and rings?

woot woot... just got back from the first test ride on the finished project bike... so awesome. she's much more stable than my norco conversion and rides smooth as butter. It's pretty neat how a slight change in geometry can make for such a different ride.

Fuzz nice work! This weekend was a blast for me as well bc. I completed my second build with a great condition Sekine Tank. Still ironing out some peculiarities but new bike = True love.

On a related note: Are Marinoni bikes custom? I always thought they were, but the site seems to suggest that they are not.
