Crazy day running around with Toby picking up all the prizing for the race tonight. Should be lots of fun. If you're not doing anything, remember:

So what in fact is "the dilly" for tonight? Open race, any other events? The Tosca's back on the road (omfgyay!) so I might head out.

that was a nice vid, I only watched cause I had no idea what a cable shot was. I quickly figured it out though. The log...
If you wanted a ride destination tonught, 850 Dundas West The Press Room 6pm, drawing around 7-8 or so, hope you all came drop in. Tickets on sale online til 4pm or so, on sale at the bar b4 the drawing. I totally skipped a groove on Tobys race, had intended to go down and get a video of the start, maybe roll to the finish, but a CMWC meeting and a beer visit with the landlord put my head in a different space and the next I knew it was midnight.

Report him ....call the company and let them know what happened. Glad you're ok too. It was nice putting more faces to names last night....damn that was a good time. Keith is a monster on a bike that is all. Mike/cavit8/offhoff/Keith I'm lovin' the Pake.... it's feelin' good. 9th...wooohooo not bad for an old timer, Shamil 11th, and Keith 2nd!!!!..... good thing Keith wasn't there to race
Shamil and I were with him to the first check point and then *poof* Keith was gone...as in I didn't see hide nor hair of him til the finsh line. Daaaaaamn. Shamil and I played wingman to each other. With practice come some higher places....I hope. Lookin' for a top 5 now. Thanks for a great alleycat Toby and all who helped him... I think it was really well done.

Thanks for use of the pump and thanks to Keith for the tips... I've changed a lot of tires in my day but never even thought of using the schrader / presta adapter as an extender. Sean was happy to be able to continue riding for the night after his spill...
I didn't get many great photos but I uploaded what I did get in the wee hours of the morning HERE

Sounds like a fun time was had! Too bad I missed it...
Today I went riding somewhere I'd never been before- mimico creek valley loop (up the humber and across Eglinton to the 427 and then south and back across to old mill and south on humber again.)
It's a fun ride and the bike path along eg is a superspeedway
Kind of a short loop though.

Bikes: Menonite black urbanite, probably enough spare parts to make anther one.
agreed - that section of the city (mimico beach) is really nice. i went riding through there on the way home from mississagua one time and really enjoyed it. isn't there a brewery somewhere along there (perhaps on missisagua road)? sorry, i can't remember where exactly, i'm a bit drunk.
PS - Cam, i hate you a little bit for finding an espresso maker of that quality at a yard sale. i have an ice cream maker my parents bought me in my basement that i'd love to trade for an espresso machine.

Mimico beach is where we went for the ride of (no) destruction a while back though (I think? It's where the creek meets the lake though so makes sense), it is definitely nice along there.
Not sure about the brewery... I do remember seeing a brewery while out riding recently, but I think it was way up on king road so obviously not the one you're thinking of) Out at 427/Eg is the big labbats or whatever it is too.
Jeremy or anyone else who has done the hairshirt- what's a nice 80km stretch along the lakeshore? I want to do a century along the lake this week but I'm thinking perhaps taking the GO out a ways before starting. Also, anyone want to join me? Not sure what day it'll be, but it will be during the daytime.

yes, i've done the hairshirt twice; it doesn't get interesting until you get past vineland.

I'd like to get in at least 1 century this season, but I'm not available this week. Maybe another time.

just got back from vacation and a few days riding up at Blue Mountain.... sooo much fun. I'm starting to think a DH bike would be a nice addition to the stable....
