Garmin 1000 and Strava segments
I got an email from Strava saying Segments are now available on my Garmin. I have it syncing both ways between Garmin Connect and Strava and I have marked some segments as favorites on the Strava site. I also installed the updates from Garmin that allows for the segments. My wife says this is all she did and she has segments pop up on her Garmin 1000, but I do not see them on mine. The only difference I am aware of is she is a premium Strava member.
Has anyone else got this to work? Is it only available for premium members?

I am a premium member and I have not gotten this to work yet on my 810. Is there a special procedure? I plugged in to the computer Monday and my firmware was up to date.

Well my garmin auto uploads to Strava. I thought it went both ways but I'll look at that and make sure.

Not being a premium member, I can't confirm, but from what I understand you need to install the updates from Garmin, link your Garmin account to Strava from the Strava site and mark segments as a favorite. Oh yeah, you also need to be a premium member.

Live Segments are available on the Edge 520 as well as the 510, 810 and 1000, pending a firmware update. Strava athletes already using Garmin Connect will have to re-establish their connection to get Live Segments.

Then I have not received the update yet because unless it has come out since Monday night it says I am up to date with the 3.60.

you also need to star the segments in strava... those are your favorites and then make sure you garmin acct... is set to live segments ... when you go to segments in GC.. it will say you are using live segments in strava.
Strava [h=1]You are using Live Segments. Browse segments and review progress by using the Strava app on your mobile device or visit Strava.com.[/h]

I have the Strava live segments listed on my Garmin Connect so I guess whenever they decide to give me the firmware update I will be ready to go. The Garmin stuff is quirky enough that I am not even going to attempt to use the Beta. Thanks for all the advice !!
